Easy, honestly. MY players name would be "The Whaler", coincidentally, they still play for the Whalers! Bare with me on this, but their super powers all stem from their stick, that was gifted to them by their step father, Poseidon, and it allows them to speak with Whales and other aquatic life. On the ice though, it allows them super strength to keep the other team in check and to rip shots from the point at triple digit speeds. They do have an arch-nemesis; the Knight! Which, to the surprise of no one, plays for the Kelowna Knights. No idea what powers they have, as we haven't reached that climactic battle yet, but safe to say, they hate water and despise the oceans, which is clearly a bad thing. I think the end of the first run of comics for this duo, cause obviously, need to be thinking larger than just branding, will end with the Whalers and Knights meeting in the conference finals, Game 7, OT, and the Knight and the Whaler meet at center ice to decide the fate of not only their teams, but also the world.
