Kevin Dineen hired as an assistant coach for the Hawks. Dineen most recently led the Canadian women's national team to a gold medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Prior to his work with Team Canada, he served as the head coach of the Florida Panthers, helping the club to their first-ever Southeast Division championship in 2011-12.

What a smart hire. He replaces Kompon. Nice upgrade. Adam Oates was also in the mix but I'm glad they went with Dineen.
