Welcome everyone to the first game of the season in the SMJHL. Today, we will see the Colorado Raptors host the newly branded team of the Carolina Kraken. Let’s head straight on into the first period.

First Period:
The first period started with a bang for the home team. The Colorado Raptors were able to capitalize on a tripping penalty assigned to Padraig Sarantez from the Carolina Kraken after Sarantez tripped one of their players. The first goal was scored by Vorian Atreides, helped by Daniel Kuster and Calogero Crudelli barely six seconds after the start of the penalty. A few seconds later, Denver Wolfe nets the second goals of the Colorado Raptors, helped by Hariken Urawa and Vorian Atreides. Toward the end of the period, the Carolina Kraken finally woke up and cut the lead in half when Heikki Jaakola beat Emiko Spector on a pass by Hans Schweinsteiger. But the Raptors were quick to gain it back when Georgy Gorbachenko chased Nolan McMahon out of the game on assists by Anthony Archer and Ja’Aj Coitus-Wagg.

Second Period:
In the second Period, it’s still the Colorado Raptors that opened the scoring in the twenty minutes. At seven minutes and thirty-eights seconds, Henrik Lekberg Osterman scored on assists from Heat Siecker and the second assists of Vorian Atreistes, beating Mike Hroch who took over Nolan McMahon in the first. After, it’s the Carolina Kraken that took back the period. They scored their second at twelve minutes on a goal from Tom Fiddler, assisted by Ravyn Tedisko. Their second of the period is a gem from Alexandre Watcher assisted by Jaguar Johnson and Kaspars Claude.

Third Period:
Nothing really exciting came from the last period of the game, but the penalty assigned to Padraig Sarantez soon before the six minutes mark. However, the Colorado Raptors were unable to capitalize on the penalty and the score remained 4-3. Fortunately for them, the 4-3 was in their favor so It wasn’t such a big deal even if they were unable to score.

The Third star of the game is Denver Wolfe from the Colorado Raptors. Denver had one goal on one shot as well as two shot blocked during the game.
The Second star of the game is Henrik Lekberg Osterman from the Colorado Raports. Henrik had the goal winning goal on his three shot as well as landing one solid hit in the game.
The First star of the game is Vorian Atreides from the Colorado Raports. Vorian had three points tonight, one goal and two assists. He won sixteen of his twenty-nine faceoff in the game.
