What an opportunity, and I think I will be going to Games 1 & 2 in Tampa; what do you expect? I can already feel the warm Florida sun beating on my skin during the day and getting that tan back. The crew that I would bring with me is the Spittin Chiclets podcast crew, BizNasty, Whitdog, RA & producer Mikey. What a crew to create havoc within Florida while getting paid to watch hockey and have a good time. Biz is just a kills magnet so hanging around with him with will help your boy get some luck if you know what I mean. The tab would be crazy for this trip, booze, booze and more booze for the boys. I think our crew would be rowdy but again at the same time it would be a great trip and maybe the SHL can get a shout out on the podcast someday. Word count: 153

I really don’t have a leg in this race and would be happy if either team won. If I had to choose a team I would picked the Calgary Dragons because who doesn’t love the underdog. It would be great to see them rally and comeback to win. Gunnar has been a pleasant surprise for them and hope they can keep the momentum going. On the other hand, though, Tampa Bay has had a dominant dominate playoffs and Mike Izzy has been great like always. It’s going to be a great final and may the best team win and take home the cup. I have a few suggestions to make playoffs better, I’m a second year send down, so I have a few ideas for the SHJML playoffs. First off, my Colorado Raptors just made it to the finals and lost but I think the PBP system has to be changed a little bit. It is a good idea in theory, but I feel like it kind of takes the hype out of playoffs since it takes a while to get going in the finals. I know a lot of people have complained about PBP’s but I personally don’t want to get rid of them but just have some tweaks to it so they go easier. Another fun suggestion for the playoffs could be a mid-season tourney to figure out who gets home ice advantage in the finals. Maybe something like what the MLB does, but then again a lot of people have complained about that way of doing it. Word count: 157

One major part of my game I would like to improve going into next season is my offensive touch. I had a decent season this year playing on the 3rd line on the Raptors but I feel like I should be providing more to the team. Granted, increased ice-time would likely raise my offensive game as I was averaging only about 14 minutes a game this year. This offseason, I hope to iron out the kinks in my offensive game and provide more scoring help for the raptors in my 3rd season. I am hoping to make the jump and have a big breakout year. With that being said, I think I need to improve my passing and scoring to where I can set my teammates up but at the same be a dominant scorer. We lost in the finals this year, and I think if I was providing more help we could have had a decent shot at winning it all, so I think improving my offense will help everybody as it will take the scoring burden off our top guns and that trickles down to the whole lineup. I feel like it would be a crime if I did not pick Mike Izzy. He has been dominating this league and puts up amazing numbers and I am all aboard the Izzy for the Onoprienko. This past season Izzy put up a hair over a point per game and was winning 50% of all draws; utter dominance and persistence. His dominance is very intriguing to watch, and he has become one of the best players in our league. Dude’s a stud and is going to continue to improve so Izzy is my pick to take home an award. A. Mike Izzy; as I said before, Izzy is having a dominant season and I see no reason for him to slow down now. I expect Tampa Bay to have their hands full trying to deal with Izzy. With that being said, I also think Gunnar is going to have a massive series too, just not as good as Izzy. Word count: 59 1 TPE

I think I am going to give the advantage to Kata Vilde who is standing on his head these playoffs. So far before the finals he is 12-1 with a 0.931 SV%. He is on an insane run and I think he is going to continue in the finals with the cup in sight. So, if I was a betting man, I would go with Vilde to have a spectacular series. Word count: 71 1 TPE
