Special Teams were a story of the game. Lynxfire has already gone in detail on the first power play goal which began the Outlaws lead. On top of the powerplay conversion the Anaheim Outlaws also killed 4 penalties. The first of which came around the 19th minute of the first. The Montreal Militia failed to generate any chances before the period was up. The Milita didn't register a shot on the first power play. They would struggle the rest of the game. Another interesting story is the 3rd lines played the most 5 on 5 minutes for both teams throughout the game. This is due to the amount of special teams played by the top 6 leading to more 5 on 5 minutes for the bottom lines.
