Comment #1 -  What happened in the first period. This may have been the most uneventful period in the history of the SMJHL. No goals, only 12 shots on net, obviously they weren't very good shots, since no goals. We did have two whole penalties which equated for most of the action in the first period. Keegan Angello (MTL) for Hooking (Minor) at 5:51, Phil Mcrakin (ANC) for High sticking (Minor) at 16:24. This was the most exciting minutes of the period, which is disappointing from one of the most exciting teams in the SMJHL (Anchorage). Hopefully this is the worst period they play all season. 


Comment #2 - Anchorage almost blows a 3-0 lead. Starting in the second period Anchorage climbed to a 3-0 lead. This was due in large part to goals by a bunch of Olivers. Anchorage has 2 Olivers who can score goals, this must be unique in a minor league system, as I can't imagine that Oliver is a very common name. Oliver Cloutier and Oliver Kovacs, scored the two goals in the second to put Anchorage up 2-0. Maxime Bouchard then put up another goal in the third to go up 3-0. However, this was not enough for Anchorage to feel secure as they quickly gave back this commanding lead. 

Comment #3 - Power Play inefficiency by Anchorage. Anchorage had 1 more powerplay than the Militia did for the game, but could not convert on it. The Armada went 1/5 on the powerplay, while the Militia went 2/4 on the powerplay. Yet the Armada still won, this made me wonder if this was a lack of scoring depth and power play depth from the Armada or if the Militia happened to play well for this. The result was that the Armada up to this game where super ineffiecient when it comes to the man advantage. This being said with their potent offensive I wouldn't think that this will last long.
