To increase fan excitement over the rebuild project, the Tampa Bay Barracuda will be doing a calendar giveaway with all your favourite Barracuda players dressed as sexy builders rebuilding the franchise.

San Francisco, in a crazy attempt to increase ticket sales in what is likely to be a historically bad season, had actual real lions from the San Francisco zoo enter the arena in the pre-game show.

The Kelowna Knights are hosting a promotional jousting tournament where you can joust against the players. Horses and jousting equipment are provided and if you win the tournament, you get a rookie contract with the team.

For the new Dragon, Boris signed a deal to promote his first home game as a member of Calgary's team. The lucky winner will get a Slavic home cooking session with one lucky fan. Boris will teach you how to cook like your're living in the celo and you'll also be getting drunk like you were in the celo (drinking is mandatory even if a minor wins the draw)

The Nevada Battleborn will be holding a promotion the first game of the season where mozzarella sticks will be free all night with a purchase of a large soda. The “sticks” will be made in the shape of actual hockey sticks. Of course soda’s will be marked up 200%, but truthfully we’re banking on no one noticing.

It's going to be a long, hard season for the San Francisco Pride, but we're going to try our best to keep it festive with a series of promotions. One such promotion will be Start Wearing Purple night. Fans will be encouraged to wear as much of that pretty Pride Purple as they can, and the night will be capped off by a performance by acclaimed gypsy punks Gogol Bordello! It's going to be a party!

The Vancouver Whalers plan on hosting a charity Teddy Bear night, but will also have door prizes for anyone bringing in a stuffed Whale toy.  Any fan brining a stuffed animal in will also be added to a raffle, which team mascot Whalebur will pick after the first Whaler goal.

What are the two things you think of when you hear Texas? Guns and BBQ, so the Texas Renegades have the combined the two and during certain TV commercials breaks will now be firing juicy bbq out of their t-shirt cannons. fans can expect anything from ribs to pulled pork to an entire chicken.

Manhattan has talked about doing an emoji night for jerseys. For the Rage twitter, we use emojis for our lineups so it would be fun to put everyone's individual emoji on their jersey as they skate around for warmups

Every team on their promotional night need to do anything to keep peoples interest of team. I think in these hard times with viruses and all other shitty things that is happening, peoples will like anything that makes them smile and feel free. Free food, pucks and anything else.

Toronto’s most successful promotional night will be Axel Meszaros bobblehead night. The first 5000 people will get a free Meszaros bobblehead. He’s just like the real Axel. Completely stationary, while his head moves as he watches the puck, but does nothing. See, the joke is that Axel is a useless pylon. @ml002

Raptors are franchise which is associated with dragons - raptors. So, instead of bubble-head giveaways at home games, they could do raptor-head giveaway. That would make better atmosphere at arena aswell and everyone would be more associated with Raptors.

The defending challenge cup champions, the Buffalo Stampede, have no use for promotional nights in order to promote ticket sales, as this organization, like all sports teams of Buffalo, has one of the best, and most vocal fanbases in the league. However, with a number of entrepreneurs on the team, the organization has decided to support these individual players, and have allowed them to promote their own brands on various nights. An example of this is Buffalo's Augustus Wang, owner of the notable SHLKush.com online marijuana dispensary shop. Wang teamed up with the Buffalo Stampede for a game against the Atlanta Inferno to promote his company by handing out free weed to the first 1000 fans. Atlanta was chosen on purpose as Buffalo represented the "greens", with the Inferno name serving as the "lighter". A number of other players also have their own nights. Roach hands out a container of candy cockroaches, Fish gives out free sushi to the first 1000 fans, and so on. Buffalo takes care of their own.

I'm sure it's not hard to drive ticket sales for a professional hockey team in Quebec City. It's like asking people in Alabama to watch football. With that said, a great promotion for opening night of the Quebec City Citadelles would be some way of celebrating a successful first season with signed memorabilia from S1 either given away or auctioned off for charity to those in attendance.
