For the Minnesota Monarchs, the player I would add to play in the All-Star game is left winger Julian Florsch. Florsch finished the season second in scoring for the Monarchs with 54 points and 17 goals. While these stats are not the most impressive and probably not good enough to earn a place in the All-Star, Florsch ended the regular season with 135 hits, which was the seventh most hits for a player during the regular season. I hope he can bring the physical aspect during the All-Star game. For the Montreal Patriotes, my choice follows the same theme as the one I made for the Monarchs. I would add right winger Jussi Mutou to the All-Star roster. Again, I’m choosing Mutou, mostly because I want the All-Star game to be more physical, since Mutou had a team-leading 127 hit, I hope he can throw his body around to the satisfaction of the crowd. On top of his impressive number of hits, Jussi Mutou finished with a team-leading 29 goals and finished the season with 66 points in as many games. 210 words - 4 TPE Code: 11. I plan to see you a often this off season, as I plan to regularly come to eat dinner at the family home like you ask me to do so. This off season, on top of hitting the gym, I plan on going on multiple trips around Norway to see as much as the country as I can. Most of my trips will be for two or three days and I plan to do a lot of outside activity, mostly hiking, to make sure I keep my current physical form and be ready for the upcoming season. I hope you can join me on some of these trips, as I know, you could teach me a lot of things about our country. It would also be a great opportunity for you to go back to some places you have already visited, and it could bring back a lot of great memories. 175 words - 3 TPE Nor Ge

Well I got 5 teammates who will go in the tournament so I'm really happy for them all!
Valentine, Wolf and Diehm were our famous first line that got some awesome regular season success (111 goals, 159 assists for 270 points) adn St Clair on the second line that used his two-way game every game. The last one is my brother that will be the starter for the division. He really did not get his best season, but Carpet in Winnipeg, Lodge in New Orleans, Jerry in Minnesota and neither of Mendenhall or Gil-Galad in Chicago did better. Carpet had a good season dispite being in a rebuilding team, but the pressure will be on Dionne to bring the team to glory. In the playoffs and in international tournament, he tend to do better than in the regular season so let's see if he will be up to the task, but I will be behind him! 156 words = 3 tpe

111 words = 2 tpeI don't know much about the league, but with the comments and with what my brother told me, our division should get the win. The Central have a legend that have a trophy to his name and two players that are within the top 5 players in the history of the league. We have to add that to all the greatd Texas players that push the team into the Conference Final like 4 times in a row plus the good players for Chicago, Winnipeg, New Orleans and Minnesota. Sure the other teams have some really good players, like the Pacific I think will be second, but I stand by my division.

I'm in the same draft class and play in the same SMJHL team as Popol (Louis Bélanger), so being able to speak french in the locker room with a person of my age was really nice and that created a bond between us. In the off season we are trying to get some old Crows together to get some training. Lots of good players in the SHL come from that team that like to train together so we take a week to go in our old building to train and sometime there is some actual Crows that are training there so we use also that time to show them how good the SHL is. I don't play in the same conference in the SHL, but the two times we play each other we like to get to a restaurant together and invite some others people like my brother to talk about the good old time. 155 words = 3 tpe ![]() Registered Senior Member

I will tell you about my teammate Antoine Beauregard @Count Chocula. Who is he? He is a vampire that didn't want me on the end at first, but have slowly grown to accept me as the months gone by. Other than having a great name, he was an obvious choice for all star expo because he just had 76 points, 29 goals and 47 assists. It was a bit of a letdown season to what we are used to from Antoine. The previous season he had over 100 points. But a poor season for Antoine is still a good season for anyone else and he deserves to be on the ice once all the best players in the SHL face each other. In the game, I expect to perform well, maybe get a point or two. But what I really hope he does is have a great ton of fun and be a good teammate to all the other players that are there. At this game, he will represent New England and it's important for him to represent us well. Show that we are professionals and that we are to be taken seriously. I think Count will do us proud. His is our captain after all. 205 words: 4 TPE 11. Dear @HillsHaveHats, it is once again in the offseason and it is time for my yearly letter to you. As you know, we had the great opportunity to share the ice this season for the ice after 4 seasons of destroying each other on the ice in Vancouver and St-Louis. While I will miss the opportunities to hit you blind side while the refs are looking away, it is still an honor to share the ice with you. This offseason, I will be busy. I will be doing a trip and I have many stops. I will start by leaving the arena, going by @luke 's office to see if he still working at his office and to chat about my next contract. Once we come to an agreement, I'm coming to England to see you! I know that you betrayed the UK when you decided to transfer to France, but I still think opening your 2nd sandwich shop in England was a great idea! You might wonder why I want to come see you so quickly, well it's obviously for those PB&J sandwiches. After that, I'll go to France to go see my French teammates that live there. Unlike you, I will keep training this summer as I want to build on my rookie season. I know you are satisfied with your lone goal this year, but I aint! 211 words: 4 TPE 8 total TPE ![]() Registered Senior Member

Code: 1. Milestones, up to 3 TPE. +2 TPE Code: 9. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Snubbed M&Ms I think Jussi Mutou of the Montreal Patriotes should've made the all star team. Jussi is a great, hardworking player that is an essential part of Montreal's team. Sure, his point totals were not eye popping this season (second in scoring on the team with 66 points), but the role he did play was pivotal to their team. Plus, I'm always a homer for Colorado Raptors alumni. However, I don't believe every team deserves recognition of having an all star. If there's 5 skaters on one team that are all better than one player on another team, all those 5 should make it into the all star game first. What I'm saying is that there shouldn't be inclusion for inclusions sake. The all star game should feature the best of the best. +2 TPE, 132 words Code: 11. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Offseason Plans Dear Zamboni Driver for the Philadelphia Forge, Thank you for all that you do to keep our ice in such pristine condition. Your attention to detail in creating a smooth surface of ice for our team to skate on is paramount to the health of our team. Also having such great ice to skate on reduces our chances of random injuries from occurring. If your Zamboni machine left bumps or huge divots in the ice, we'd possibly hit them with our skates. That would send us tumbling down onto the ice, into the goal posts, or even into the boards. But that is not the case because you do a wonderful job. You also do a great job working with the community. I see you waving and interacting with fans as you go around the ice. I see how friendly you are to the kids who get to ride the Zamboni. It is all noticed in what is otherwise a thankless job. I'm thinking about you while I'm spending my off-season back home in Wisconsin, basking in the glorious midwestern sun out on a lake. I look forward to getting back out onto your perfect ice when I come back to Philly in the fall. Sincerely, Leonard Wood +4 TPE, 208 words ![]() ![]() IIHF Federation Head Not a Commissioner. Shh!

+3 TPE 2. I think that the new format is an interesting and fun way to spice up the All-Star event. It is cool for me, as someone that has been in the league for quite a while, to see names I recognize from earlier in my time here coming back again for this neat event. For Dominik, it’ll be cool to play with Esa Anrikkanen as he was someone that was basically the Jaromir Jagr of the SHL in terms of playing forever when Dominik’s dad was in the SHL in the S40s. It’s a really cool thing to see play out and I hope it has good interest this season. WC: 104 +2 TPE 8. This is my second All-Star Game appearance and I’ve been lucky enough both times to share the ice with 4 of my teammates. This year, I’ll be spending the All-Star break with Logan Webb, Oskar Scholz, Rowan O’Beirne, and Justin Time. It can be tiring sometimes to spend as much time with the same people, but I love my team and after 3 Cup runs together, I’m more than happy to spend more time with these lovely folks. I think that all of them are pretty well deserving of their spot in this game. Webb lead our team in goals this year and then went off in our playoff run, coming very close to scoring a goal per game. Scholz had a strong year, was +51 which is crazy and also had almost 90 points. O’Beirne led the Pride in defensive scoring, and you could easily argue they should have scored more as they shot at a very modest 6.6% rate. Finally, the immortal Justin Time is the best SHL goalie Winters has seen since he was drafted, and it makes perfect sense that he continues to be one of the goalies selected to the All-Star Game. Dominik was surprised by the fact that Viktor Hargreeves didn’t make a team this year, even though he had a down year by his normal standards, just because of the level of play that Hargreeves has demonstrated over the time that he has spent in the SHL. 11. In Roquefort Cotswold's 5 years in the SHL he has met a plethora of players and coaches, both on his own team as well as on opposing or rival teams. Roquefort has maintained relationships with many of these skaters, some good, more bad. However a single name stands out, a name etched into Roquefort's stick - a name he hears every time he goes to bed, a face he sees every time he closes his eyes. None other than the Seattle Argonauts own AT AT Wøllker. AT AT has been a constant nuisance to our dear rat, a pain in the arse from the start. Roquefort has always been a step ahead of the competition within the SHL, always standing out for being the fastest, strongest, most agile amongst his class. Yet AT AT has consistently been #2. Always chasing him down. Every bit of experience that Roquefort earns, AT AT earns it too. Trying to out due the "friendly" defense man has become quite the arduous task, and it feels like the gap closes with every passing year. While in one paw Roquefort is grateful that this dastardly fellow is a teammate, in the other paw he is exhausted by the constant comparison. All of that being said, it will be incredibly interesting to see how their careers play out and if the line can build some synergy. Code: +4 TPE 12. Roquefort Cotswold is yet to be decorated in his short but prestigious career. Despite always being the most fit, the most talented, the most handsome of his class (S77) - his competitors have somehow always gotten away with the awards over him. The most notable snub came in S76 when our dear mouse man was nominated for the Jack Cross award, AKA most underrated. Somehow, he lost. To me, this makes no sense - if Roquefort was the runner up for most underrated; wouldn't that make him the most underrated? I digress. Roquefort now once again faces the lime light, recently nominated for the S80 rookie of the year - the Ryan Jesster award. Roquefort is coming off an impressive rookie season, being one of the top scoring rookie skaters despite playing defense - a massive gap in scoring and shots between Roque and the next defender on the list. While being impressive on offense is already enough justification, Roquefort also backs it up with impressive defensive numbers - especially his takeaways and blocked shots. Hopefully he stands out far enough away from other rookie defenders (like stinky AT AT) to finally bring the Jesster back into the paws of a defensive skater. Shiny Grab Bag I'm pretty indifferent to the new format, but then I've also just never paid much attention to the all star event (either here or in real life). Just not really my jam. I get that it's probably fun for people to see how the top players duke it out and all that, but at the end of the day the thing I'm most interested in is my team. I'll catch the odd game here and there on a whim, but for the most part, the bit of spare time I have available to spend is dedicated to the firebirbs. And sometimes France for IIHF because vive la France! In fairness I should probably try to pay at least some attention to all star since Atlanta's got such good rep but it seems likely I'll forget. Code: 8. Written, 50 to 200+ words. The Teammate One I think I pick this prompt every season but that's ok, if it works it works. This year there are FIVE firebirbs joining the All Star game or Expo# or whatever it is we're calling it now. This is a nice increase from the two we had last year. Always hot to bring more Inferno players info the mix. Also it just seems right that a quarter of team ATL is made up of Atlanta players. It wouldn't be ATL without ATL am I right? Anyways, Jiggle E Puff and Billy Herrington are on the roster again this year which is super cool because they continue to do awesome things. Puff finished the season with 109 points, with Herrington following fairly close behind with a fat 98. But this time they are also joined by teammates Jae-Ik Barron, Georg N'Zola, and Stun Gun. Barron led the league in points with 64 goals and 57 assists, so that add was a no brainer. Stun Gun was a total stud in net and apparently zapped the competition into compliance, racking up a league leading 41 wins. It kind of looks like Georg N'Zola was just busy out there poking the bear and pestering people, as they led the team with 76 PIM and 56 takeaways. Every team needs a good pest right? ![]() thank you amid, swoosh and eni for sigs! <3 ![]() Fantasy League Manager Posting Freak Code: 1. Milestones, up to 3 TPE. https://simulationhockey.com/showthread....pid3626281 1 TPE Code: 2. Do you like the new format? Why or why not? I think the new format is interesting because it provides a chance for more games to be played during the all star break, but I'm not a fan of brining back hall of fame players to play with the team. There's two situations with these players: either they're given stats boosts in the file to stand out as legends and take away the spotlight from currently active players, or they just blend in to the teams and don't have as much of a visible impact on the games. It also feels like selecting these players would involve more randomness than selecting all stars because it's more difficult to compare careers as a whole than it is to compare which current players performed the best this season. The new format also seems like more work for the file team, which is something that can't always be taken for granted. Overall though, I certainly agree with the effort to mix things up and appreciate the work that goes into making a new format. 150+ words, 3 TPE Code: 6. Who do you think should be captain of each team? Why? For the Atlantic division, I think the best choice of captain would be Johnny Wagner-Svenson. I haven't checked the stats, but I would think that he has the most all star game appearances in past seasons and has the experience needed to captain a complete all star division. For the Central, Chris Valentine seems like the best choice. This is his final opportunity to wear Texas colours and Texas has the most representation in this divison. He's a former league MVP and will easily guide the division with competence. The captain of the North East should be Jarrod Lakemore. Similar to Valentine, he's has the presence of many Buffalo teammates to support him, and he's an extremely veteran presence with a ton of all star seasons under his belt. Finally, the Pacific division captain should be none other than Justin Time. Time has had a legendary career up until this point, and it's only fitting that arguably the strongest member of the cup-winning Pride should be the one to lead the division. 150+ words, 3 TPE Code: 9. Written, 50 to 200+ words. Snubbed M&Ms I think John Peanut should've easily made the North East team and been a second representative for Montreal in the All Star Expo. The first thing that jumped out at me when looking at stats from excluded players is the fact that Peanut led the entire league in takeaways with 92. The league leader in any positive stat like this should probably qualify as an all star. He also had 37 points on a struggling Montreal team, the most among their defenders. I think the player he should replace is Pork Tenderloin who only had 2 more points, didn't lead their team defense in points, and had far fewer takeaways. 100+ words, 2 TPE ![]() Recruitment Team Posting Freak ![]() Registered S18, S34, S38 Challenge Cup Champion

Milestones +3 3. Written, I do like the all-star format as it is, all teams have at least one player who is a team MVP if not a league MVP, but one thing that would be interesting would be having one player on each team who is not a very good player. Like a Raspberry award, whether it be a rookie, or just a player who under-performs but having the challenge of having an absolute pylon on a stud line up would be entertaining as hell. Another thing that would spice it up is having the players play with dull skates. I don’t know why I would find this so funny, but I would. 110 words 2TPE 11. Written, Dear SHL GODS, I am hoping this letter finds you well, and as your devout follower, I ask humbly that you listen to my plea. As you know, I play for the Chicago Syndicate of the Simulated Hockey League, of course you know. You know all. Well, anyway, I know you are aware of our team and it recent re-build and has become obvious to us, at least that we are worthy of a winning record. All (many) of my team mates have been training to the max in this off-season and we deserve to be winners. It’s time. The locker room is great, and positive, and pokemon and we would be the most humble winners if given the chance. Ack. Who am I fooling, we would be annoying as heckin and the league would soon hate us, but we would be happy to point out the error in their thinking. Just saying, we will earn the cup in good time, but this season just a winning record would be boss.
