Written Option 1:

We had our meet in Anchorage at the 49th State Brewing. We cooked not for ourselves only because we thought about a small charity. So we cooked for the people in Anchorage and they voted for the winner. For myself I thought about some traditional food from Germany. So I was calling my family members from Germany for some wild boar and red cabbage also for floury potatoes. My meal is called: Roast wild boar with potato dumplings and apple red cabbage. We of course cooked so much that we also can eat from anyone's food and I loved this charity day and hope we will do it in future more often. Most didn't know the food from Germany so they also were skeptical but after trying the taste they loved the food. In the end I won but I also believe it's because of the traditional German food because the rest is well known in North America and with that something new is special. Special things also bring up some positive opinions if it's good with the taste. I am happy to have won this charity cooking but in the end it was more important to do something good together as a team and have a nice day together.

When Billy Herrington’s team decides to have an offseason cook-off, the competitive spirit immediately kicks in. Billy, always up for a challenge, sees this as the perfect opportunity to show off a different set of skills. While he’s not exactly a gourmet chef, he does have a secret weapon: a family recipe for a hearty, protein-packed steak dinner. It’s a dish he’s made countless times, and it’s always a hit. Billy knows that presentation and flavor are key, so he spends his preparation time perfecting the marinade, ensuring the steak is tender and bursting with flavor. To add a little flair, he pairs it with grilled vegetables and a side of garlic mashed potatoes, rounding out the meal in a way that’s both satisfying and impressive. But Billy’s not just relying on his cooking skills. Being the charismatic guy he is, he’s also working the room, chatting up his teammates and getting them excited about his dish before they even take a bite. He knows that part of winning this cook-off isn’t just about the food—it’s about making the experience memorable. In the end, while the competition is fierce and everyone brings their A-game, Billy’s combination of a solid, delicious meal and his ability to charm his teammates wins the day. He walks away with the title of team cook-off champion, proud that he can hold his own in the kitchen as well as on the ice.

Option 1:

A cooking contest it is, huh? Well, Gino certainly was in his element now. As an Italian cuisine was already in his blood when he was born and he sure as pineapple-on-pizza-hell wouldn't let this opportunity to shine pass.

As a Genovese native it was clear to him that his teammates, living across the ocean would have never had the privilege to taste real genovese pasta con pesto.

So he rushed to the store and assembled everything to cook the fanous Trofie al Pesto. Small pasta strips garnished with a pesto that contained just the right amount of oil, basil and garlic + a secret ingredient that Papa inherited from Grandma.
To top it off some basil leaves where left at the top.

It goes without saying that this competition was decided the moment that Gino was involved. The team mowed through their plates.

Too bad though that they now expect Gino to cook italian specialities every week. He has won, but at what cost?

Option 1: Simo's pre-game meal and pre-game superstition is eating a ham and cheese sandwich on processed, sliced white bread. There is no way on heaven or earth he's going to win a cookout without cheating harder than the East German Olympic squad and while that has a definite appeal, he's also nowhere near motivated enough to do it. Instead, Simo goes the opposite direction - fulfilling the brief while putting in as little effort as possible. The meat is good-quality beef patties, with classic American cheese and ketchup on a plain white bun, cooked medium and thrust at his teammates with absolutely no customer service skills. Stacked up against the superb cuisine on show from the rest of the squad it was never even going to place, let alone trouble the podium, but that was just the price of entry for Simo to gorge himself on free food. Chili? Yes please. Some sort of creamy pasta dish? Give me three bowls. Racks of ri-just load them onto the plate and get out of the way.

Written Option 2:

Matviy Cajabi hasn't been in the league for too long, so fortunately there haven't been too many low moments yet. However, after finally breaking out this past season in the "J" in Maine, he had hoped it would be a springboard to showcase his talents even more with Czechia during the offseason. But being left off the IIHF team and hardly being used during the WJC tournament has been a bitter pill to swallow.
After defecting from Team World, the hope and plan was for Cajabi to be a vital piece of the Czechian hockey landscape now and into the future. It has definitely left him with a chip on his shoulder and he'll use that as even more motivation to show that he's an elite talent, as well as be a leader for his teams, including with the Timber during his final year of junior.

Option 1

Well this is actually a particularly easy competition for Dave Heinrich to win courtesy of the fact that his Agent is a planeswalker capable of warping reality with a thought and more importantly capable of dilating time just as easily. Thus by extending the preparation time by multiple orders of magnitude Agent Tesla has Dave sit through a marathon of the cooking show Knife Fight which was a cooking competition under similarly short and strict rules. Given their enjoyment of the series Agent Tesla has the two of them then sit through another rewatch in the dilated time where they also warped the episode into being played in real time while having Dave work to recreate each of their recipes as they go.

Admittedly this would be enough to help them win by itself, but admittedly there is a belief that the reason that they won was because Dave explained his talents in a mildly misleading way. Saying that he learned how to cook via Knife Fight with his Agent was not necessarily untrue of course, however the intimidation factor that it provided definitely tilted the odds in Dave's favor. Something that was increased even more by his mystery meat dish served with a vicious smile. Combine that with some gossip about his agent and Dave was able to walk away the champion despite the fact that none of the judges actually ate his dish.

Prompt 1

Julian is used to cooking for himself, and even turned it into a bit of a hobby to kill some of the dull evenings during the offseason. He's used to making any kitchen setup work, by staying in airbnbs a lot when travelling around and not always finding the place well equipped with utensils, staples or fancy (or even basic) kitchen machines.

So an impromptu cookoff with not much time to prep isn't just right up Julians alley, it could even be something he came up with to take the piss out of his less proficient teammates.

While he knows a plethora of recipes that would guarantee him the win, there's no doubt that he'll go for an Asian hotpot styled mushroom and soy based soup. With a lot of different toppings to add surprising flavour and textures, Julian has never ran into anyone who was not amazed by the depth and deliciousnessness of this dish.

Written option 2

My player currently has not had many experiences since their career has been short, but if I had to pick one, it would be the first few seasons in Quebec, where we were playing so well, getting such good seeds, but never really making it to far in the playoffs. Honestly season after season it got tough, especially during the final loss for each playoff run, but every seasons after, the morale always came back instantly because the team was so keen on working together to finally make it to the top. Even during that final season where we actually won it all, Patey V2 was still doubting the team through the great regular season they were having because it always seemed to end the same way every single year. The help of teammates was definitely a big factor, but even taking your mind away from the game for a bit was also key.

Written Option 2:

Luckily for Sonja she has already tasted success in the J so at least she knows how it feels but at the same time she also knows how it is to be the best team in the regular season and yet miss out on the cup in the playoffs. After all before she has won the Four Star cup she came close two years in a row. Both times QCC were the best team in the regular season finishing first. Sonja is the type who believes in success as long as there is a chance. She still believes that they can pull through if they are one lose away from being eliminated. After all you're only out once you are officially out. Of course dealing with setbacks is a whole different matter. After all she is the type to look into herself first and then at others. And there has been a few cases in her career where she had a strong season only to fall back near the end which was very frustrating to say the least. But ups and downs are all part of her journey, so she usually takes those setbacks head on and keeps working hard to improve herself and switch her focus from the past to the future.

The tampa bay barracuda really messed up by challenging fifth-year defender RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 to a cook-off during training camp this year. While I am sure that many of RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023’s teammates are pretty solid cooks and can put together a tasty meal, nobody has the expertise and the love for cooking that RIP
THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 has. In fact, cooking is his hidden talent. Even on the road during the season, RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 cooks up some gourmet meals in his small kitchen in his hotel room. When deciding what to cook for this competition, RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 wanted to make something simple, foreign, and delicious. Something that would seem impressive to anyone who ate it but also would be relatively simple to cook. With these ideas in mind, RIP THUNDERDOME 2013-2023 made Paella, a Spanish (and especially Valencian) classic. Bomba rice, chicken broth, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, mussels, shrimp prawns, chicken thighs, peas, and you can’t forget the saffron.

option 1

Willow is going to big brain this endeavor because despite her best attempts, she is not a good cook. Despite everything she’s tried from classes to crying to praying to various food based deities, she cant make a bowl of cereal without it going on fire. Her strategy will be to attempt the old family recipe for meatloaf for a variety of reasons. First, the recipe is written in Swedish which most of her teammates cannot read or understand, and for those who do understand it Willow has written it in her famously terrible handwriting so that no one besides her and her family members can understand it. The logic behind this is that when Willow inevitably lights the meatloaf on fire she can say it was by designed and if they don’t like it they don’t understand culture. Granted this will not help her in the judgement as she will get second to last place, finishing ahead of Toasty obviously, and she will go home nonplussed.

Written Task, Option 1

The key to triumph in a cook off is perseverance, and a willingness to simply die. Rodrigo Banes and the Montreal Patriotes, after a great deal of back and forth, eventually settled on a good old fashioned chili cook off. Rodrigo Banes is going to lean on decades of experience to pull off the hottest, most satisfying chili and take home to Spice Master Crown for this offseason.

The key to a good chili, like cooking anything, comes down to quality ingredients. As the base, Roddy starts by smoking and slow-braising a pork shoulder into pulled pork. Using a blend of onion, garlic, mustard, black pepper, brown sugar, and other spices, the meat will be the flavour and structural base for the dish. Next, he gets some hot italian sausage from a local butcher, grills it, then splits the casings and adds them to a large pot. Once the sausage is browned, he adds white and yellow onions. Next, he adds a blend of diced fresh peppers: jalapenos for heat and aciditiy, anaheims for sweetness and body, one habanero for kick, and a trio of red thai bird chilis for a well-rounded spice profile. Once the onions and peppers are soft, he adds the pulled pork, sausage meat, brown beans, black beans, white beans, corn, tomato paste, and a healthy (yet shared!) serving of Negre Modelo beer. Once the chili has cooked for several hours, giving him time to make his cornbread, he will use a mixture of brown sugar, maple syrup, ketchup, and baking soda to balance the acidity and add sweetness to round out the dish.

Serve hot, optionally on rice.
