And yes for sure, i had lots of fun with it, current GM of the Saint John Sea Dogs, worked my way up from a league in England. Hoping to get a job in the NHL soon.

Can you link me to where to buy it? I keep finding the baseball one and nothing for FHM.

Also is the scoring and potentials realistic?

I just bought the game.... and frankly, I wish I didn't.

There is something amiss with the game.

My low right now:
1. No long player name (unless there's an option).

2. Editing lineup is really a pain.

3. The general UI needs to be reworked.

4. I was seriously stuck on how to trade until I discovered the right click. (I should have read about it... but like I said in 3, the UI is far from being user-friendly)

5. We can't be just GM? I saw that every team I choose their HC was fired too. Not that I mind, but what happens to training?

6. Simming seems random. I was 20-1-3 with the Canadiens with default roster. Price had already 9 shootouts. Same thing nearly happened with another game when I pickup my junior league (Sagueneens in the QMJHL. I won the first 10 games.) Tried a new game again with the Devils and it seems every team you control are pretty good no matter what since Brodeur and Elias was leading the league by far.

7. No pre-season camp? No training? That goes back to #3 if there is a way.

8. The actual live game is very lacking. After the first period I was bored and flashforward the entire game.. which is still slow.

I get that's a game in progress... but currently they should have waited. EHM might be old, but at this point in time, even the first EHM game (was it 2004?) is superior the FHM.

Yeah, It is still a work of progress, Im waiting to play again until they add in expansion etc. First EHM Game came in '98 I believe. The first OOTP Basball game was shit and this is waaay better. Hopefully we will be up to par with OOTP 14 in a few years. Just buying the game with the hopes you will have fun is still contributing to their small dev team and helping them continue their work so that we can have a yearly, if not bi-yearly game!

@#5 I believe it is under options is where you can choose to only GM and have the head coach do the lines etc.

I'll check again. Because when I tried selecting what I wanted to do, only my name was there in the dropbox. No assistant coach, no coach either. So either I am not at the right place or I need to check something first.

I've gone back to EHM 07 for now... I really can't stand the simulation engine. I shouldn't be able to nearly win the Stanley Cup with the Panthers. Eliminated in 6 games by the Hawks. It seems no matter what team I choose, they have good season. I'll probably have to tweak the scoring too (I guess I can under commissioner mode or custom mode) since Toews won the Hart with 89 pts.

It's good to have something else but I really wonder what the Alpha/Beta testers were doing.

New patch coming up in a couple of days that looks promising. New scouting overhaul, training overhaul, hiring/firing, crash fixes, improved game play.

Also the next patch after this one will change the way the game Sims.

Is this game fixed now? I've heard mostly negative reviews so far...but all are fairly old comments. Is it worth the 40$ in its current state?

IMO not really. I'm not a big fan of it

I would rather play the old EHM's than FHM

I just got 90% through a season on EHM07 (loved it for the most part) but it saved my game and said I had to buy it....I have heard that you can't purchase it anymore. Are there license keys out there for use or am I screwed? I had the first 3 picks in the upcoming draft as well as a very young team with a bunch of great prospects. So mad right now

you are screwed. Personally would wait for FHM 15, as this game has potential to be better than the EHM series.
