S58 PT #2 Payday!

The future greatest player of the league to ever play in the history of the Simulation Hockey League, Detroit Falcons defensemen Evangelos Giannopoulos from Laval Quebec originally drafted second overall by the Toronto North Stars before being traded to the Hamilton Steelhawks has had quite a lot of money to spend recently and it should not be a shocked to anyone if you take a look at his contract numbers. His contract equals 3 million dollars a season and with that sort of salary, the young greek god has been splurging. Some of his most recent purchases include supercars like the Volkswagen Jetta and Toyota Prius. He has also bought a condo in the world renowned luxury city in Ontario, Hamilton for when he gets called up next season and he'll need a play to stay. Outside of that, the young superstar is quite tight with his money as he plans on retiring early so he wants to save as much as possible for when he quits in 3 seasons.

Zayne Rotzbua has been spending his money wisely. His only big purchase was a mega yacht with multiple Basquiat and a couple Lambos in it. The Yacht is matte black with sixty four shiny orange rims, thirty two on each sides. What do these shiny orange rims do you ask? good question! they do absolutely nothing but spin around and look really sick. Also it is stocked up with M16s and m80s which for those that don't know are not actually all that similar, but results of use can be. The Yacht is powered by a jet engine that is like, super big bro so that it goes hella fast. It is perfect for partying, fishing, committing crimes in international waters and a whole bunch of other fun things the whole family can enjoy! Also, inside the yacht is a smaller boat that is a perfect replica of the real yacht, down to having tiny rims.

After signing in free agency with the Los Angeles Panthers in the most recent offseason, TURG spent most of his contract money getting himself a new home in Los Angeles. Going from living in Anchorage for four years to Los Angeles is a big change for TURG. He spent a lot of money renovating his home with all the basic necessities. His house has such basic amenities like a games room, fitness centre, private pool, basement rink, sex dungeon, panic room, and a room where the floor just moves like it’s Team Rocket’s hideout. But the best part about TURG’s new home is that it is on top of someone else’s home. Yes, TURG had his home built on top the home of fellow Los Angeles Panther, Grape Fruit!

“When TURG knocked on my door and said he was going to be doing some construction work, I didn’t know what to expect. I wasn’t just gonna say no to the guy. He had such a sad look on his face. I just wasn’t expecting him to park himself on top of my house. How am I supposed to sell this now?”

This year I gave some money to charities and I try to spend more time with the community. Covid took away people's jobs and living so with the money I have earned last year I’m sharing with everyone. I won 12 millions from the casino so it isn’t an issue for me because I earn around 6 millions with my contract. I bought a new car for my new teammate Kermit Murphy. I want the new players on my team to be happy and comfortable. We want to build up the chemistry before even hitting the ice. Kermit can become a superstar in the league so I have to care of him and make sure he’s in a good mood. Lastly, I have hired a personal chef. I need to be healthy which will help me stay in good shape for many seasons. I’m not great at cooking and my parents stay in Japan so I’m happy with my choice.

With the money I earned from my contract this season, i'll be reinvesting a lot of it back into the casino and tripling down on my bets to continue my streak of making 12M off the casino a year. Besides that, I want to take care of the less fortunate Smebs brothers and extended family who either did not have the career they were hoping for (Steve Craig, Khan, Kit, Chico), or were not able to make the SHL at all and are stuck playing hockey back home in Korea (Peanut, Marin, Piglet, Wolf). A big part of Smeb culture is looking after your family so my number one priority going forward is taking care of the less fortunate Smeb brothers. I'll also probably take some of the money and invest in the PEDS that helped me win two FHM DOTY awards and hopefully extend my career by a few extra years.

Oliver Cleary decided to cash in this season's paycheck on finding ways to improve his current being. First, after moving from Los Angeles to New York a couple seasons back, Cleary had only been renting the condo he was living in. Though he signed a 4 year contract with the Rage, Cleary thought it would be best to just rent while he feels out the team and the team's future so he doesn't have to worry about selling if things go sour. Thankfully the situation has worked out and he finally bought his New York condo, signalling that he will likely stay long-term and beyond his current contract with the Rage. Other than that, Cleary spent a large portion of his contract on some personal coaching. With Cleary getting older and becoming one of the league's veterans, he felt it would be best to touch up his current skill set to offset any potential regression.

In our reality we don't even get paid enough to pay for our basic life necessities. I literally can't spend 1 dollar of my paycheck as I need all of it. All of it goes towards my training and even then I am still left very short on funds. I have to resort to working jobs on the side as this is a very shitty league when it comes to player pay. The SHL treats us like shit, they know our economy is crazy high when it costs at $1mil a week in training fees. I have been digging up under the couch cushions to try and find a few dollars here and there to pay for things. I am starting an OnlyFans to sell my body for money. I figure if people will pay me good money to spread my asshole online maybe I have a chance to make it in this league.

RESO:Insert Boat Fog Horn

Yeah, this boat here is my baby. A replica of a the Elco PT-41 Patrol Torpedo Boat, obviously refitted to modern standards. I spent around $1 Million of my salary on this boat, and I do intend of giving this the loving it deserves. I've outfitted it with a powerful engine, advance sonar systems and great control systems. I've even managed to give a a nice name: "Black Lagoon". Kinda like the ring to it.
Other than that, I also used around a quater of a million to invest in stock markets. I've gained an interest with the stock exchange sorta out of nowhere, and I spent around a year on a practice account before going for real with the latest payday. And with the recent boom of Gamestop in the stock market, I got a handsome stockpile to last me a long time if used wisely.

And Let's Retire at the Pinnacle

At my age, now that I am in my 13th year into the league, what I care about is saving towards the future. I dont know how many seasons I have left in the league, and I will be reitiring before I am 40, so I need to think long term about the next hopefully 60+ years of my life off of this money that I am getting from playing the best sport in all of the wide world, hockey. So I am investing into different things, Ive been getting into crypto, and as well investing into Dogecoin as well. I think these investments will prove vital coming into the next decades, making myself millions in the process. I am getting David Kastrba into it as well, and not to mention recently retired rage player, Reginald MacIntyre as well. I am also looking into making a sporting brand as well to make money from that s well

Dom is still getting used to life in Atlanta, so with the money he earned from this season, he's started renting a new place near the arena and bought some much needed furniture to make his new place feel like home. He also left his boat he worked on himself back in Boston, since he's got family there now, but since he's unable to live life not at a marina sometimes, he bought a pontoon and marina membership near his home in Atlanta and is using it to get to know his new teammates. All that was needed originally was a good weekend out on the water with some of the guys, and he hopes it'll become a tradition like he's had on his other teams. He misses his sailboat, though, so who knows if he'll maybe have to splurge on one of those, too, if he can't go back to Boston as often. The rest of his money is being used in more responsible ways.

With the money I've earned from payday, I've certainly been very careful about how I was looking to spend it. For example, a lot of it has gone to improving myself as an overall player. I've purchased top tier training and, all in all, whatever I can that I believe will help me. Training is not the only thing that I've used my payday money for, though. After S57 concluded, I spent some time volunteering at an animal shelter during the offseason. There's a lot of animals there that are fantastic and so fun to be around. The staff there that are taking care of them also deserve some special treatment as well. I used some of the money I made to surprise the staff with lunch for a whole week and also donated $500,000 to the shelter to help the pups out a little bit. It's the least I can do, they're certainly amazing people doing amazing things and it feels nice that I can help out in any way I can.

Kubinec typically doesn’t leave much in the bank, always expecting another big payoff in the offseason. It has worked so far. He makes sure that he is buying the best equipment every season just to keep up with the young players on his team. He has to work just as hard to stay as good as he was the season prior. He’s usually got the latest phone and is always upgrading his television or gameroom with a new pool table or something. Basically once he retires he’s in a lot of trouble and will have to rely on endorsements or get on television somewhere in Texas. Once the new trading cards are released he’s going to have to make sure not to blow all his contract on those things because it sounds highly addictive. Hopefully he puts some money aside and limits himself to only a few packs a season. Moderation is important.
