Something interesting to think about is if Maxy had retained control of the team instead of being promoted to junior commissioner, they would be in Boston one or two seasons before JT created the Battalion as an expansion team. Which leaves the question of what the league would look like if Deezy didn't become a GM. So the "Montreal Impact" would merely be the name of a future MLS team and not hold any relevance here.
