What type of player are you trying to build?
Goaling Scoring Wing.

From 1 to 10, what would you say your current activity level is? Is there anything that might happen in the near future (personal or professional) that would change your activity?
8. And, not at the moment.
Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted?
Hell yeah.

Is Vancouver a team you want to play for?
Yessir.

Have you had any interactions with or do you know any other Whalers on the site? Other then playing against some older Whaler players back with Andrews, nada.

How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors?
Max amount, unless I develope enough for the SHL before.
If you were a GM, why would you draft yourself above others?
Because of my activity level and I know how to build a player out evenly and get to know others from the LR.
What are your goals for your first season?
Get as far as we can in the playoffs, win Rookie Of The Year, and dominate with the team.
With new management comes new opportunities. Are there any questions you’d like to ask JR95 or myself?
Would be great to be with the Whalers.

What type of player are you trying to build? Im trying to build a scoring winger, on the off hand side.

From 1 to 10, what would you say your current activity level is? Is there anything that might happen in the near future (personal or professional) that would change your activity? I am currently around an 8-9 out of 10. As of right now there is nothing in the foreseeable future that would get in the way.

Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted? Yes, I was active in the past and I plan to be active again updating wise but also in the Locker room.

Is Vancouver a team you want to play for? Yes, being an Whaler Alumni and losing the Championship in S9 I want another chance to bring a cup back to Vancouver.

Have you had any interactions with or do you know any other Whalers on the site? As far as current Whalers I'm not too sure haven been around the site too much since yesterday but I do know people still around and probably still know some of the Ex Whalers

How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors? Hopefully just 1, but it all depends where I get Drafted. I want to be the best player in the NWJHL so there is always the chance of an Early selection and staying up in the SHL

If you were a GM, why would you draft yourself above others? I would draft me because of my Whalers background, my activity level, and I am overall a good teammate. Plus I still have a chip on my Shoulder from losing in S9

What are your goals for your first season? My goals are to earn a top spot on your team in your top 6, and to help carry the team to a Championship.

With new management comes new opportunities. Are there any questions you’d like to ask JR95 or myself? As of right now the only one I would ask is the direction of the team, are you looking for more of a rebuild or are you looking to make a championship run. I haven't had a chance to explore last years season.

I'm new, but I plan on being around a 7

Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted?
Of Course

You Know it, although rent is a little pricey

None that I know of

How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors?
As many as it takes!

What type of player are you trying to build?
An angry Italian-American version of Rick Nash.

From 1 to 10, what would you say your current activity level is? Is there anything that might happen in the near future (personal or professional) that would change your activity?
I only joined today, but I've been at a 10 since I discovered the SHL on Reddit earlier. While I do not expect my activity to hold at 10, I can see myself averaging an 8 or 9, depending on my college workload.

Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted?
100%. Community is one of the biggest appeals to me about the SHL, and I'd be crazy not to involve myself.

Is Vancouver a team you want to play for?
Absolutely, Whalers imagery is top notch.

Have you had any interactions with or do you know any other Whalers on the site?
Not yet, but I look forward to getting to know them!

How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors?
Hopefully, one. Ideally, as many as it takes for me to fully familiarize myself with the SHL.

If you were a GM, why would you draft yourself above others?
I am incredibly eager to learn and participate. I'm also kinda' funny.

What are your goals for your first season?

Learn the ropes, meet some cool people, and just have fun.

Not at this moment, thank you for your time!

7, There isn't anything that could really change it for the worse.

Yeah, building bonds with teammates could help my growth.

What type of player are you trying to build?
Instead of focusing on scoring, I want to be a good defensive player and stop opposing plays
From 1 to 10, what would you say your current activity level is? Is there anything that might happen in the near future (personal or professional) that would change your activity?
For the next month or so, I can spend a lot of time here, but I'm starting school in early January, so at that point, about 6-7/10.
Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted?
Of course
Is Vancouver a team you want to play for?
Yes. I've heard from some of the experienced players that the Whalers are a great team and that I should try to get drafted by you.
Have you had any interactions with or do you know any other Whalers on the site?
I am very new to the site, so unfortunately, not yet.
How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors?
As long as it takes me to become skilled enough to advance to the SHL.
If you were a GM, why would you draft yourself above others?
I am set to become a great defensive player, but I am also an outgoing person and I think I would be a great addition to the team.
What are your goals for your first season?
I would love to win a championship, but I also want to hone my skills and learn how best to play in the SMJHL and eventually the SHL.
With new management comes new opportunities. Are there any questions you’d like to ask JR95 or myself?
Why did you or your predecessors pick Vancouver Whalers as the team name? Are you Whalers fans, and if so, why Vancouver instead of a city in New England?

Player Name:
Caelan Fearghal

Link to player page:
Voila!

What type of player are you trying to build?
I’m loosely modeling my player’s playstyle/stats after Niklas Hjalmarsson - a steady defensive defenseman who is safe and reliable in his own end, who can block shots without missing a step and stay on the ice for ages. Caelan might not make many flashy plays, but he’ll be a solid asset on the backend.

From 1 to 10, what would you say your current activity level is? Is there anything that might happen in the near future (personal or professional) that would change your activity?
Currently I’m probably at an 8 out of 10, but I’d expect to sit at more like a 6.5 once the initial excitement wears off (visiting a few times a week, but not daily). I do struggle with depression and anxiety, and that can flare up and interfere with just about any ongoing activities with little warning, but I’m here and active now whilst in the midst of such a flare, so I think I’ll be okay for the season.

Do you plan on being active in the Locker Room once drafted?
Of course! It may take me a bit to settle in, but I’ll be chatty once I’ve gotten used to the environment.

Is Vancouver a team you want to play for?
Certainly! You seem to be well-established, and that's very attractive to a prospect like me!

Have you had any interactions with or do you know any other Whalers on the site?
I may have had some interactions with Whalers, but I’ve been preoccupied with learning all the basic info around here and haven’t paid much attention to what team folks are on. I don’t know anyone on the Whalers, though, no.

How many seasons do you see yourself playing in the minors?
I’d guess 2-4, but that’s a very uninformed guess.

If you were a GM, why would you draft yourself above others?
Personality-wise, I’m a great person to have around the locker room; I’m laid back and easy to chat with. I've also got a knack for problem-solving, which can come in handy. Stat-wise, I’ve got one of the highest Defense ratings among defensemen in my draft class, and I’m one of only two defensive defensemen in the draft class (thus far), so I would definitely draft me if my team needed help on the back end!

What are your goals for your first season?
I’m looking for some middling playtime on the second or third pairing, maybe on the PK, depending on what the team needs (unless that’s wildly overshooting for my rookie season, in which case I can certainly adjust my expectations - remember, I’m new to this!Wink. More generally, I’m wanting to settle into the system here and learn more of how things work, and I’d like to work on writing articles - that’s a genre I don’t have much experience with, and it’s a nice challenge for myself over winter break.

With new management comes new opportunities. Are there any questions you’d like to ask JR95 or myself?
Given that you say you’re new management… what’s one change you’d like to make to the team or its organization but haven’t yet?
