Our team is preparing for the playoffs like we have during the season. We're working on team chemistry and letting what's been working at the end of the season keep working.

As a new team, we definitely struggled at the beginning of the season to find our line combinations, and we've been steadily working on that. We're working well together and have found a system that works for us. We're still behind some of the older teams in terms of pure TPE, but we're trying to combat that with a full four lines.

Geek has made the team work hard, and we're focused on not being first round flops. While we've come into the season as underdogs, we're going to go out with our heads held high no matter what happens. Lots more team dinners are to come, and lots of awards are to come in our future. Plan on seeing the Grizzlies at the top of the standings soon.

The playoffs are always a special situation in any sport. Sim leagues are no different. Everyone wants to be the best and perform well and win a championship but it is so rare that you as a player can really make an impact. Preparation for users should really only come in the form of max earning in order to help out your team most by being the best player you can be. In kayfabe, you really gotta just do your best to prepare by getting ready and having your body in the best shape in order to have the best performance when it matters the most, in the playoffs. Hopefully my team, the St. Louis Scarecrows can make some noise this season and maybe we win a title. I think we are well prepared and can perform well, like we did all season and maybe we manage to get an upset or two and win it all.

The Kraken are in full team hunger mode. There are several impressive players on the team and all them are literally vibrating with excitement in order To get a great chance to win the trophy. All the preparations from sharpening the mental game with weekly board games night to bench pressing cows in order to stay in the best shape of our lives all points to the team coming together to be ready. In regards to mental conditioning, off has busted out the big boy pants for game nights and has been tabling spirit island and root, both for quick thinking and deep tactical discussion, but also for the team work and coming together in the face of adversity. The local cows are provided by the bear by meat market and are a great source of gains and protein as cows are heavy and lifting then makes big muscles. The kraken are poised to strike deep into the yoffs

We prepared just like anyone else would. Watched tape, practice set plays, worked on special teams. But as the series heads to game 7, it shows that no amount of practice, no amount of planning, no amount of strategy can win you a series. It comes down to which teams wants it more. And dammit does this team want it. We never gave up, even when faced with a 3-1 series deficit, forced to win a crucial game 6 on the road. This team has had to listen to the naysayers all season, even the positive ones writing us off, saying we've "had a good run for an expansion team." No, we are HAVING a great run, period. And it's not stopping today. We practice to stay ready. Watching tape is more just a ritual. We know the set plays. Now it's just time to go out on the ice and execute. The team who wants it more will win, and no one wants it more than us.

The locker room gets very pumped during playoff time. Playoff time is when everybody is training the hardest because we all want to win. During playoff time everybody starts to push each other even more than during the regular season. More workouts, more pre-workout. more sandos, and everyone's gotta practice their cellys. Practices become longer and more often, reviewing tape from the regular season learning all our opponent's weaknesses, and fixing our mistakes so that we can punish them once the time comes. With so much veteran presence in the locker room, people know that the playoffs are a different beast than the regular season because every team has one goal. To lift the Four-Star Cup, anything else would be considered a failure. With captains Granny PanPan, Roderic Banes, and Cormac Ponaire leading the way they are showing lots of help towards the Kraken rookies getting them ready for their first playoff experience so that they can be crowned champions at the end of the season.

Our team is in a reconstruction for the next few seasons, consequently it is not a favorite to win these playoffs. This makes us prepare to go game by game, calm and being realistic that we are not candidates to go through many rounds. But as a team we try to fight together and leave everything in the rink. In the regular season, we were not a team that obtained many victories but we have grown over time and we hope to fight. And in any case, the rookies (like me) will have experience to grow not only in the technical part but especially in the mental part of the face for the coming seasons. The GMs warned us to build on the experience in these playoffs for the future. But anyway we don't want to miss the opportunity and we want to leave a good image for our fans during the season.

Well the playoffs are over for us now so it seems our preparations must have fell somewhat short. They mostly consisted of throwing our backup, McLavish in the net and just taking turns scoring on him. We figured it would raise our morale a bit and give our guys that taste for scoring. We haven't heard him say anything since the start of the season so of course we assumed he was fine with this too. In hindsight it probably meant our actual starter didn't get as much practice in as was probably needed but it is what it is.

Off the ice, our group is a very hard working bunch and spent a lot of time typing out media, making graphics, and much more so we could fund our personal training sessions ourselves. You'd think the team would step in and fund this, but no, we believe that forcing our guys to come up with their own money for this gives us a competitive edge to make it through the playoffs.

Next season we'll probably do all this again.

So to get ready for the playoffs, the Anchorage Armada needs a lot of training to at least hope to make it past one round. They had an average at best regular season, so to get far in the playoffs, all the basics were covered. The coaches wanted to build the players from the ground up, to make sure that if they lose, it was really because the other team was really better, not because we made some stupid dumb mistakes. So all players learned how to skate properly, how to do a proper pass, how to shoot a puck, and all that. After that we did go into some more in depth tactics, to surprise the opposing team. If we went into the playoffs with different tactics than the ones we had during the season, the opposing team couldn't counter us in advance and they would need to adapt in the playoffs, but that left them not much time to learn their new tactics. That's how we plan to get to the cup.

Our team, the Nevada Battleborn, will be preparing for the playoffs by sitting back on our couches and watching the game from the comfort of our home. We will also be preparing ourselves by practicing hard this off season, picking up some new skills, and skating together to get our team chemistry up. We’re also going to come together as a team to draft the best talent we can find, or just ones interested in staying in the simulation hockey league. We’ve all got a trip planned together to see the hockey hall of fame and we’re going to visit all the retired pro’s houses to hopefully learn some new tricks we can utilise next season. Basically we’ll be preparing for next season's playoffs where we’re going to win the four star cup! Next season is when we evolve from battle babies into battle big kids. And if people still call us the battle babies, we’ll just tell them they lost to babies.

We didn't do much to prepare for the playoffs, honestly. I guess that comes with knowing you'll be going to the playoffs regardless of what happened in the regular season. Our main goal was to not finish last. However, with that said, we did mentally prepare. The team wanted to get some team bonding activities in, to help us come together and really mesh as a unit. So, as you'd imagine. We did some trust fall exercises. However, what you may not have expected is that our trust fall exercises required each team member to fall from a 10 foot platform. There were some sketchy moments there, where we though we wouldn't catch one or two of the guys. It also may have been a smarter idea to not do it in full equipment (including skates). Anyhoo, that's done. We were ready for our first round matchup. Let's get it, Anaheim is one and ready to roll.

In preparation for the playoffs, the team had a small training camp in the Colorado wilderness. The team was cutting trees with axes, transporting the trunks over their shoulder, and sawing logs. There was an exercise where the rookies were pulling Angus McFife XVIII in a sled. The team ran in 3ft of snow uphill. The camp pay off and all the players were in their best condition for the playoffs.

Because they had a bye the team still had some time after their small training camp. So every player did their small preparation. For example, Shoyo Hinata watched his old DVD of Alex Kovalev. He wants his shot to be lethal for the playoffs. Shaquil Oneil spent all his free time at the boxing gym. His goal is to be a terror on the ice.

The night before their first playoff games, the McFife XVIII gathered the team together and presented his special strategy to beat Kelowna goalie Lord Skorld

The Grizzlies have been on a hot streak ever since the midway point of the season, and as tight as the race has become, the Grizzlies have kept it light. They have continued having fun, as majority of the team is just having fun in the first season of the expansion team. The one thing the team has done since the midway point of the season has added a player of the game magic hat after every win and also added a team teddy bear on the bench for good luck. Ever since the Grizzlies added those two small routines, they have been one of the best teams in the league. Now in terms of work ethic, coaches have taken out optional morning skate and have turned it into mandatory film study. Players go into the arena to study film on themselves, increase the hockey iq of each player so they know what they should be doing on the ice. Each player on the team is talented, but it is the hockey iq that has taken a huge leap since the start of the season.
