Early scouting had the Berserkers as arguably the worst team in the league. Given that we have 10 rookies playing every night, it was a fair assessment. Something magical happened when we got to training camp though. We found that we were much more skilled than we even thought. The Homunculi like of Wrath, Greed and Envy have been gangbusters out of the gate. Pundits predict that it won't last but Newfoundland is enjoying the ride while they can.
Strong leadership from rookie captain, Belac Fromm has the team training and playing hard. Belac sets a great example in the weight room. Dan Bacle credits him with his impressive face-off prowess, "Mr. Fromm has me doing some crazy forearm exercises and spends time after practice to help my timing. 10/10 would follow again." Newfoundland has a proud tradition of winning and this group is poised to pick up the torch and carry on.
I am quite confident in the Detroit Falcons this coming season. In Detroit we have a solid locker room and plenty of drive. The first player I feel will make the hugest impact on the team is our goaltender, John Gibson. Gibby is our most crucial player, in my opinion, because he is the last line of defense for the squad and you cannot win games, or string together wins if you don't have a solid goalie. Working in tandem with the team's new backup goalie Theo Dahl, I am more than confident that our goalies will shoulder the immense pressure from any team that we face. Next, I think that some of our rookies will be a big factor in our season, not only myself but also Roi DuPain and Charles LeClerc. Roi, Charles, and I would make a pretty formidable scoring line with some grit throw in for good measure, a rookie line that can change the tide of a game within moments of stepping onto the ice. I am able to play either wing comfortably so having a Centre and two RW should not deter our coaching staff from giving us the chance to dominate as a 3rd line (or better if they see fit.) Finally, I think the most crucial part of the defense will likely come from Twinkle Toes and Vasher Summers, simply based on their TPE levels alone, they strike me as defensively sound and more than capable of bailing us out if things get too sketchy.
I think that the Armada have a few players who could play a huge part heading into the season. As we've already got a taste of what the early season is looking like, Mathew Pano has been a big piece. He is putting pucks in the net and providing a great boost on the offensive end of things. As I write this, he's kicking back with a point per game (9P in 9GP) and 28 hits. Another key piece on the backend will be Aloysius Hoglord III. The most tenured defenceman on the roster, Hoglord carries some heavy minutes and will also chip in on offence when needed (and it is definitely needed this season!). Lastly, Olivia Osgood will be a key part of the goalie tandem in Anchorage this season. She has secured the first 2 wins of the season and is approaching a .900 save percentage in front of a young, struggling defence core.
I'm excited for the season, and cant wait to see my team, the St. Louis Scarecrows win the league! While I'm not sure whether that prediction will come true or not, I'm sure we'll do really good, building off of a playoff season last season with even more growth. Jean Bon, our RD, is gonna cook this season. Not only are they a valuable member of our team and locker room, but Bon is also one of the centerpieces of our defense, putting up a Defensive Game Rating of 84 so far, their career high for a season. They also have a +/- of 12, a stark contrast from their previous two seasons in the negatives, showcasing their growth. Two more key players are also gonna be Swiffer Sweeper, our LW, and Boogan McGillicuddy, our C, both two key offensive players who have put up 21 and 19 points respectively so far, with offensive game ratings up in the low-mid 70s, showcasing their momentous impact on our team.
Detroit Falcons are looking ahead with positive expectations. We may not be favorites among other teams but the morale inside the team is high and good outcomes are expected.
Listing our key players let's start with offense. Quazon Brosonchi, Thurston Bull and Matty Smith are pillars of our offense being on the 1st line and being most productive both in the preseason and in current regular season. Their line has positive +/- and more than 1PPG setting an example for all other offensive players.
Twinkle Toes is definitely the main pillar of our defense. Having his 4th season his defensive numbers are the best and other defensemen such as Mathieu Mathematique or Vasher Summers are trying to follow. Both of these players serve their 3rd season.
And lastly our last and most important piece of the puzzle - our goalkeeper John Gibson. Having his 2nd season his numbers are looking very bright.
Despite losing 6 matches out of 9 in the regular season his SV% is 0.903 which is fantastic for such a young goalkeeper. I expect him to be the most important player during this season.
So far in the regular season the simulation has not been kind to us but we're still at the beginning and I believe the tides will turn into our favor very soon while us rookies will continue to improve.
Go Falcons, SKREEEEE!
We have had a mixed pre-season here in Ottawa but one that we can take a lot of heart from moving forward into the regjlar season and onwards. We finished the pre-season with 4 wins from 7 games which is a nice based to build on. Funnily enough we have actually started the regular season in a similar sort of manner with 6 games from 12 so could really do with kicking on now and picking up a few more wins as the season continues. Looking at the key players for Ottawa and you can't really look past our top center Leo Carlson and our top winger Soobin. Both Soobin and Carlson are leading the team with there ratings and games won and we need them to be at their best for the team to be at its best. The last player that I want to highlight is our Goalie, not myself but the senior Goalie on the team Victor Bjork-Pejlikka. Goalies are so important and often overlooked in the this league and this is a player I am doing my best to learn as much as I can from and that the team needs to keep those pucks out of the net.
The Detroit Falcons are off to a 4-7-1 start so far to the season, but some of those games have been close. Detroit is a young team, and this season will require a lot of figuring things out, as well as working together and growing their games. The top three players in points are Quazon Brosonchi, Matt Smith and Thurston Bull. Bull leads the team in goals with seven while Quazon has the most overall points with 16. Smith has chipped in with four goals and 10 assists. These three are making plays and getting points for themselves as well as the team.
One thing that should give fans of the Falcons some hope is that every single skater has more than one point to their name. Even some of the rookies, like Monaco's Charles Leclerc has netted five assists in his very first season with the team, and Stanislaw Uljevic has a goal and four assists. There's a lot to hope for here and while it may take some time, this Falcons team could really surprise people as the season goes on.
Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
The Anchorage Armada seems to be at the very beginning of a rebuild, as twelve of the nineteen players in the roster are from the 83 draft class, which means they were literally just drafted or picked up from waivers. It is essentially a team full of rookies. In the remaining players, five are season 82, so they are in their second year of the SMJHL, which means they still have a decent amount of room to grow. The two remaining players are season 80 prospects, so I believe they will have to use their experience in the league to teach the other younger players. Let's start by looking at Aloysius Hoglord III. He is a pretty good two-way defenseman, that can really defend well. His defensive prowess will be needed, as the Armada will not be looking to be holding the puck all that much. Next player that we will be taking a peak at is Jay Dub. He is an extremely well rounded left winger, quite the jack-of-all-trades. He will be able to provide help in every places. Finally, Jonny Hockey, the goalkeeper, is one of the better prospect on the team, and as a goalkeeper, he will be crucial to the team as he will be getting a lot of shots he will have to try his best to keep out of the net.
I was told that the season the Quebec City Citadelles would be rebuilding and would probably at the bottom of the standings. Well I guess we are currently overachieving because we are in second place in the league and 3 points behind the first place team. This team could potentially be a contender if we all keep improving. I think our goalie Lurtz Makoare has been playing great so far. Being a starter as a first year is not an easy job but he has made many great saves to give us some wins. Entering his final year in the juniors, our captain Shiny Rainbow will need to be a great leader because there's a lot of rookies on the team including me. Learning from a really good vet will always be helpful. Greg Evil is also another key player for us as we expect him to lead us to victory with his goal. I believe he could score over 40 goals this season.
The Thunder Bay Walleye are in the a hell of a season. Could you tell? Last I looked I'm pretty sure they were 0-10-0. Let's go take a look right now before we proceed with this terrible media spot being done by myself. There you have it folks. 1-14-0. The WALLEYE HAVE WON A GAME. League parity is beginning to spread like nutella on a piece of flax toast. This season, for the team, it's clear the Leon Dusty is going to be a key component and seemingly Kuznetzov as well. Both are leading the team for points, though it doesn't seem to be too challenging to do at this time. My player, Zara Wolf, is somewhere in the middle of the pack... flock.. nah, SCHOOL of Walleye. 6 points in 15 games. I think it could lightly increase as time goes on in the season but won't be making an immediate impact until next season which is fine. Natural progression on a statistically terrible/young team. The team is a lost cause, so really, it's tough to point out who is going to help the team because no one is really going to do that.
I'm very blessed to be on the best minors team. Not just this season but of all time. The rings don't lie and to be back there is nothing short of a pleasure. To avoid the others and be chosen by my team so I can do this final career with them is huge. Now its about dominating and going 1 step further. To do this we will have 3 key players.
The most important is Mel Guolla who WILL be winning the MVP award. Nothing but domination from him and let's face it, 15 games in no-one is catching the Knights nor his stats. The best player in minors will be huge for us come playoffs where anything can happen. But for regular season its Mel showing how great Mel is.
Next is Yuri Satoshi cause ...well he is a goalie. Need 1 to stop goals duh. And finally I'll say my player cause you're only strong as your weakest link.

Alright, things aren't really starting great for the Nevada Battleborn, but it's only a matter of time, before we turn things around, battleborn style! (I coined the term)
The key pieces? I'm sorry but I'm going to be real and focus on defensive pieces being key for our turnaround. I'm going to start with our prize-winning goalie Claude L'Castor, such an inspiring captain of our team, and the last line of defense, so we can stop the bleed. But Claude won't be alone in this, we need all hands on deck in this defense, so I'll put myself, Roy Deez Rivers next. Roy was a second round pick and needs to step up, and believe me, I'm stepping up, I'm going to get all this TPE fast and jump to the top of the earner right away. What I've been doing ain't cutting it. Then I'm going to also mention Mister Mxyzptlk as crucial, because he's the defensive guy playing the best right now, and who can show the rookies what to do next. Leadership by example.
the anchorage armada are realistically looking a bit far downstream (i can talk about stream directionality with expertise since i'm an aquatic creature [though technically i'm a sea creature so i actually can't @goldenglutes]) when it comes to team outlook. with our stacked S83 draft class, we'll be dominating the league in two seasons but this season will be a bit tough perhaps. nonetheless, there are some key contributors to watch out for this season. one of these is of course Jon Taffer @Duff101 because he is playing with Kameron Urchin Mullen as his D partner, jon taffer and a sea urchin should be a fun pairing! this is trustworthy because jon taffer will not crack open the urchin for access to its uni because it's been around the ice and sweaty and dirty n shit so obviously taffer wouldn't eat that. also important will be Patrick Rail @Prayl07 as one of the leading forwards and presumably the captain if we ever get those dang results revealed @Figgy so obviously a notable leader of the squad. the last key piece for the armada is our newest member @Briedaqueduc - now we have two defensemen with 3 letter names that have plenty of synergy, KUM and GOK! this chemistry will build over time and surely lead us to glory eventually, if not necessarily right away
Lord Marshall Lorenzo Alstott: Is this going to be a thing with you? Complaining about a little paperwork each week?
Agent Tesla: When my outerverse manifestation is dealing with multiple illnesses and the task is one that neither she nor I have any real talent towards yes.
Lord Marshall Lorenzo Alstott: Well let us just step back and talk it out. If we work together we can get this done and stay on track.
Agent Tesla: Heavy sigh. Well it is asking about how the team is looking going into the season.
Lord Marshall Lorenzo Alstott: Handsome. How is that not a suitable answer here?
Agent Tesla: Well it specifies that we have to include specific mention of three key contributors and why we think that. I mean outerverse me could look at the index and see who has the most TPE, but that feels like a cheap way to go about this.
Lord Marshall Lorenzo Alstott: So what if it is? You have confessed you do not know enough about this to give a proper answer, but we have to anyway. I am even newer to this sport than you are, and also am not familiarized enough with the team yet to have a strong opinion on who will be the pillars of the team. Let us just take the path of least resistance then.
Agent Tesla: When you put it that way it seems silly not to I guess. We are going to say that Optimus Autonomous, Pavel Mintyukov, Leo Carlsson, Soobin, and Cheese N'Wine will be the key contributors to the team for the reason of all of them have 420+ applied TPE. Sure TPE is not the be all end all, but it kind of is at this level where just a handful of TPE can make a considerable difference in attribute total.
Lord Marshall Lorenzo Alstott: Given that I think I can credit Haddie Minch, Finish Däjob, and Show Pera who are all my fellow draft mates who are putting in the work to be better that will help the team down the stretch with depth. Of course Optimus Autonomous, Pavel Mintyukov, Leo Carlsson, Soobin, and Cheese N'Wine will lead the way, but no one can handle all the minutes.
Agent Tesla: Sounds like a solid collection of names to praise to me. Hopefully the powers that be will consider this all a satisfactory answer!
As of writing this, the Carolina Kraken have been on a nice winning steak and have only lost 3 of their 14 total games. So far the team and its lines seem to be working together really well to score surprisingly consistently. One of the biggest surprises is a handful of our rookies have been playing great out the gate.
Five Holes Goes West has been an amazing center to his line with great chemistry with his linemates. He has been scoring and getting assists at the highest rate of the team as a rookie and seems to show no signs of stopping anytime soon.
Another notable rookie among the Kraken is Joe McPadstack, the teams rookie goalie. In the short amount of games he has played, he's already achieved a shut out victory while keeping up with the rest of the more experienced goalies out there.
As for the last member id like to mention is the Krakens power play specialist, Kim Chaewon. Any power plays given to the Kraken seems to be sure to get a goal as Kim's is currently in a 3 way tie with the league on power play goals, and if this momentum continues they may even pass their previous years records.
