In this instance it probably was used as slander but if I reference my friend Dave here as "my *****" it's a common noun used to express friendship (unless you don't wanna be friends Dave, then I won't say it :( ). You gotta give Tanner credit though to some extent. It can force people to respond differently to the situation if they don't accept the usage of the word. It's a sad truth, but there has to be balance between banning it from our vocabulary and saying it every other post.
