Has anyone read Sean McIndoe's piece today? Pretty great read if you get some time to sit down and have a look. Points out some great facts, including the reality that they've been outshot more than any team that's made the playoffs in the last decade.

Randy Carlyle hasn't really made the Leafs any better. In fact they're probably playing much, much worse than they were last season up until about January when everything fell apart all at once.

James Reimer has been the big difference this season and he deserves 95% of the credit for Toronto's success this season, because the sad fact is this still is not a very good hockey team.

Lots of experts have tried to figure out Toronto's confounding success so far — with possible explanations including team toughness, coaching, or chemistry — but it’s actually a lot simpler than that: They’re a marginal team getting excellent goaltending. This season, James Reimer has been one of the best goalies in the league. End of story.

He’s in the top 10 in wins, save percentage, and shutouts, and his six regulation losses is tied with Marc-Andre Fleury for the fewest among goalies who’ve played at least 30 games. And in April, when the other numbers say the Leafs' season should be falling apart, he’s been even better: 5-2-1, with a 2.12 GAA and a .939 save percentage. After Saturday’s 49-save performance in Ottawa, Senators coach Paul MacLean said Reimer should win the Vezina and the Hart.

Reimer is unquestionably the best homegrown Leafs goaltender since Felix Potvin, and has been the team’s most valuable player this season, and it’s not all that close.

All of which makes this seem like a good time to remind everyone that Leafs management was looking to replace him as recently as three weeks ago. Like I said, it’s been a weird season.

I'll read that after, little busy. He has played great but guys like Lundqvist, Bobrovsky, and Niemi have played better. He should be a top 5 maybe.

Amazing Article Krever... Great Read. Points out alot of great facts on there, I truly believe Reimer is a top 10 goalie and his stellar goaltending combined with our wicked offense that takes advantage of every chsnce they get had helped us huge.

Still makes me lol when Hab fans on here were saying he was a mediocre goalie there a couple Saturday's ago.

I love how people where trying to say Pavelec is better then Reimer...

Reimer is top 10/15 this year for sure....but this isn't the first time he's played a great 40 games then slowed down.

now i severely want the leafs to lose in 4 so this thread can stop for awhile.

This is what happens when you have a shitty goalie, serious Nonis needs to look into bringing in a vet, I said this 100x times but Reimer is just awful.

He is awful, cant save this team at all, worst 5 hole and glove in the league, he is nothing but a solid backup. I thought he was good, but the more I watch him, he is nothing but a huge disappointment.

Luongo is elite and a million times better than that scrub Reimer. At least Luongo will lead us to at least 1 playoff round and that is all I wanna see. Its been 9 years and all I want is 1 round?? and this team cant even give me that. Its pathetic worst team in pro sports AINEC.

I cant wait to get my kipper jersey. Dave Nonis has gotta realize you cant roll with AHL goalies like Reimer.
