Imagine you spend 8 seasons building a 2k tpe player, and in your first shift you get Aaron Rogersed and suffer a season ending ACL tear. I'd be so mad!

It could be interesting to turn on minor injuries where you only miss a couple games, could spice things up. Long term injuries would be a really bad user experience.

Injuries should be turned on, as this is why things like waivers, call-ups, and send-downs matter in real life. Injuries being turned off is why these mechanisms are tacked-on and literally never used in the SHL. Screw you and your 2200 TPE, you broke your leg and are out for the season, time for your GM to call up that 477 TPE J player in their fourth season.

Turning on injuries would be bad because then you stuff your team with IAs because people start building goons that all they do is hurt people and nobody wants to see that

Turning injuries on would be a good idea as it makes the game more realistic. Also, Nick Larsson is immune to getting hurt so even with injuries on nothing will change for him.

Turning injuries on would be a bad idea as no member of the SHL wants to see there player injured and not playing in the sim even if injuries would make the SHL more realistic.

Turning on injuries would be a good idea, but only if the SHL grew to a point where each team had a full SHL and SMJHL roster. Then, it would allow for teams to really plan for depth in the case of an injury.

Turning injuries on would make IFA bidding even more of a nightmare (because some teams would horde useless filler just in case their star player breaks their spine in the first game of preseason). It would also make J GMing nigh impossible--oh, you planned to go for your window? NOT ANYMORE. Ivan Lacksamus broke his leg and is out for 2 months, so your star 4th year max earner is getting called up early.

Don't do that, pls.

Injuries sound like a great way to absolutely kill player retention. It would also be supremely boring when your player is injured. Would you even be able to earn TPE when injured? Streams would also lose some viewership, I would assume.

It would be a bad idea, because why would you waste your time doing point tasks and anything like that if your player is out for the season and you can’t even see him perform.

injuries on would be a good idea because all the weaklings of the league like red kirby @Acsolap and rinky koivu @Gwdjohnson would get hurt and all the strongies like bingo lactose @goldenglutes would stand strong and this would be advantageous for atlanta

It would be funny for a second and then it would probably ruin sim leagues, imagine spending 2 years of your life building your player to it's peak to get a torn ACL in your peak season and never skate right again.

Turn the injuries on! It's a way for players on deeper lines to really shine and get their minutes up. For me, personally, it would be a chance to be called up and start for Buffalo sooner!

Honestly, turning injuries on to an extent would be smart. However, I think injuries should only apply for the rest of the game. Would reward strength / aggression / fighting, and wouldn't have season-lasting consequences.

Injuries are bad because it takes the fun away. How would you feel if your player got brain damage in their rookie year that forces them to retire the next season
