1. CW Trivia Verification Word: akou

2. The offensive advantage of the Philadelphia Forge has thus far been negated by goalie Justin Time's brilliant play in this series. At the time of writing, Philadelphia is down 1-3 after four games, and the offensive machine known as the Forge has simply not been present in the playoffs. The Pride, meanwhile, have been absolutely destructive after dropping that first game. In Game 3, the Forge couldn't manage a single goal while the Pride roared ahead to score 14 unanswered. Whatever offensive advantage the Forge believed they had with Dabson and Soprano leading the goals has been about as negligible as one can get. While there's time to come back and try to get the same success that Philadelphia had in that first game, the last two games have both gone the worst way possible for the Philadelphia Forge: scoreless as the Pride runs amok over them. Funnily enough, Gnabe Dabson and Tony Soprano are still Top 5 in goals in the playoffs thus far, but they are surrounded on all ends by San Francisco Pride players. The Pride have their own offensive weapons, alongside a goalie that is playing at their absolute pinnacle. It's looking like this series will be a runaway.

6. Texas had to be the one team that really might have gone all the way, had it not been for the division they played in. I believe if the Renegades were in the same conference as the Forge, they would have taken the place of the Inferno and made it into this very series. Running into the buzzsaw that is the San Francisco Pride may have stopped their winning ways in a single moment, but I would have loved to see the competition and the games that would have spawned out of it.

Looks like [TEAM] won Season 79 Challenge Cup! So who won and why? What could the other team have done differently to change the result? What was your favorite part of the series?

Well the Pride ended up winning the cup and that makes me big sad. I think they mostly won because BASE PACK is a sieve and can't make a save to save his life (so I guess he missed two saves). The Forge could have won if they benched PACK probably, it was clear that he was not going to be a positive factor in the series for them. I think PACK's backup could have fared a lot better against San Francisco. My favorite part of the series was when it ended so that I didn't have to endure the pain of BASE PACK any longer.

Prompt #2.
Umm, I assume this prompt is for playoff points only and if I could paraphrase one of my favorite sayings, What would that matter to the price of tea in china?  Or that is like comparing apples to Oranges.  I think it is easy to see how this is not a full bowl of oranges, when you look at the playoff brackets, what is the first obvious thing you see?  Well in the first three rounds the Forge have played 18 games as they had no sweeps and had a 5,6 and 7 game series.  On the other side of the bracket SF had a slightly easier time sweeping one series and the others being 5 and 7 for 16 games.  This gave the Phi players 2 extra games and so this whole topic is a non-starter.

CW Trivia: Palm (1.5-3 TPE)

PBE Affiliate (3 TPE)

Code:
Gnabe Dabson leads in both goals and points while Tony Soprano is
second for both. Is that enough to give offensive advantage to
Philadelphia?

I don't believe so. There is a lot that goes into a playoff run and there are a lot of factors that can contribute to the outcome of a game. Playoffs are very volatile games and the momentum can change on a dime, having good offense will be great for potent scoring opportunities, but unless you have a defense to protect your own goal it doesn't do too much good to have such a potent offense. Be interested to see how it turns out. Otherwise, we'll just have very high scoring games on both sides and it'll be a coin toss who wins. (103 words - 2 TPE)

8 max TPE with correct trivia
