S78 mPT #1: Sometimes it is just nice to be a spectator Due: Sunday, August 18th @ 11:59 PM PST

As someone who pays no attention to track and field I find the running events super exciting, especially the shorter races like the 100, 200, 400 in all the different variations. A lot happens in a very short amount of time and it's almost always down to the wire.

Weston isn't a big fan of the summer olympics but one sport he did enjoy was the skateboarding, mostly because the entertainment value was a little higher for him, and the sport overall has a good sense of camaraderie. Outside of the Olympics, his favourite sport is probably baseball, mostly because it's a bit slower and a good way to unwind after the hectic nature of hockey.

I like watching fencing, used to play awhile back, was a lot of fun. Olympic level fencing though can be really hard to follow because they are so good, quick, and precise.

Nor favorite sports to watch during the Olympics are the sprinting distance, which means any running which is under 400 meters, including the relays. He likes the excitement that comes from that fact the winners are decided within seconds.

Brayden Point does not care to watch the Olympics and instead goes out on nature walks and looks to better his education. On the few times he did watch (while getting food out and when someone else in the house had it on) he saw archery and and ping pong and thought they were pretty cool.

Olafur loves watching the running competitions, especially the 800 meter. He thinks it's the perfection combination of speed, stamina and strategy and the ultimate proof of who the best overall runner is.

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

Demir Bellona took a great pleasure at watching the breakdancing competition. A lot of talented individuals competed with moves that were incredible and he couldn't comprehend how a body could move like that, and then there was Australia.

Frøya typically enjoys watching football or soccer for the Americans. It was Sonja's other favourite sport besides Hockey and so she took a liking too it too. Haaland also helps her national pride for the sport as well being one of the best strikers of his generation.

Breakdancing was great to watch, watching the australian girl makes Montagne feel really good about her own dancing skills and gives her the feeling she could be an olympian too.

Denebor had never seen or really known what American Football was prior to coming to North America for hockey, but he is enthralled with it now. He is not sure why it's so fascinating to him, but he tries to watch it any time he has free time on a Saturday or Sunday.

Dominik is a big fan of watching handball, something he grew up watching on and off as a kid. Czechia hasn’t been particularly amazing at handball, but he does enjoy the sport a lot.

I enjoy a lot of sports to be fair, Formula 1, NFL football, EPL football, occasional basketball, baseball when it's on, is pro wrestling a sport? I guess it's more entertainment but I appreciate the athletic ability. I'll watch a little of everything except pickleball, I'm not sure what's going on there.

I love all the niche sports you never get to see. The thrill o athletics is always fun. Personally, the team sports is always my least favourite part of the Olympics

Dusty Rhodes of course watches the wrestling. Not that it's professional but he is always scouting for the next big superstar. Then Dusty can be the next Paul Heyman.

Cormier loves to watch beach volleyball the most at summer olympics. Regular volleyball is fun too, but 2v2 leaves a lot more room for impressive athletic efforts that you wouldnt otherwise see with 6 players per side.
