Now we're heading to the crease with the John McBride Trophy for best regular season netminder.

Next on the list is the Aidan Richan Trophy for player who had the best breakout season.

The nominees are:
Arthur Grosberg Steelhawks
Magnus Jakobsen Steelhawks
Dymo Ranjan Stars
Wait a god damn minute here. Magnus Vikstrand doesn't even get nominated? Increases by 26 points, playing alongside a DFD who with him got his best season for points, and not even a nomination? Meanwhile Jakobsen plays with McKeil to get a bump, Grosberg is the only option in Manhattan, and Ranjan faces MIN and MAN regularly when they're pretty depleted.

I knew that Banack would win. That was a given with the 29 point increase. But a defender getting a 26 point increase without playing on a line with a superstar should at least get a nomination.

An old man's dream ended. A young man's vision of the future opened wide. Young men have visions, old men have dreams. But the place for old men to dream is beside the fire.
