We've had Matt Belesky, Pat Maroon, Dany Heatley, DSP and Emerson Etem on our top line this season lol. Anything is am upgrade

Fair enough. For the Ducks situation, they like it because despite nearly the same cap hit as Allen (3.5 vs 3.33), Bourque is only paid 2.5M for the remaining years. Habs are happy to get a contract off the book for next season since the cap isn't expected to go up and we have young players to sign. Garbage for garbage in the end though.

Definitely good trade for both and the style Bourque plays is similar to Pat Maroon who has been the best top line lwer we've had so its a risk but Allen has just been brutal since his injury. Hope he rebounds but an ankle injury to an already slow aging defender is tough to get past
