If you guys haven't noticed, they odd numbered years are always where the big jumps happened and the even numbers are for tweaking.

Yeah I remember someone mentioned this before. Never actually took the time to look into it but when I think about it, that is true. Maybe I will start buying this game every 2nd year unless they make relevant changes.

NHL 2004 is one of the best games of the species. I wonder how slow the game would be if they added the GM room in NHL 13

Side note: Are the contracts still atrocious for young players in the 80 overall range (80-90)? In NHL 11 they wanted 6M+ even if they put up horrible numbers/ haven't proven themselves. I'd almost prefer a system that is just dependent on the actual stats than the overalls. I could do without the overalls in the game even, make it more like the NHL. Only bad thing would be for sim leagues, as they (most commonly) rely on overalls.

It's like paying 65 bucks for roster updates. Me and my friend actually do the roster updates ourselves for what we think each player should be rated (i.e. We have Scott Gomez rated at a 62)

“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. ... There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

Good luck. Too bad 2K isn't around for competition, it would really force EA to keep up their game (Madden hasn't made too many drastic changes/improvement ever due to lack of competition).

yea thats why I still play NFL 2K5, it is pure perfection.

NHL 12 did enough this year to make me want to get NHL 13. My favorite is still NHL 94 tho.

That Laflamme player I have, his potential is A,A,B, so he's gonna get insanely good. Also I just drafted a defenseman who's a 77 overall as an 18 year old and has all B's as potential. Sick. Also I traded Eberle for Voracek, Voracek is better, has the same potential, and had more years on his contract for less money.
