After thinking about it most of the season, I felt it was time enough for Kelowna to add a few more banners to her rafters, and with the Championship just having been won, I feel like there's no better time than now.

So, without further adieu, I will introduce the numbers that will be immortalized in Prospera's rafters.


A man who has made a name for himself in this league, a reputation as a prolific scorer and stalwart defender, he plays the ice from end to end, a 3 time Challenge Cup Champion and one of the members of Kelowna's last Cup team prior to this season's

And last, but certainly not least, the guy who drafted me, taught me the ropes, and preceded me as the GM here in Kelowna. He's a top flight forward in the SHL and was drafted with the very last pick in the junior draft.

Wow what a tremendous honour! I remembered when I first joined the Knights I looked at the retired number section and saw that Armia had his #92 retired by the Knights and thus elected to instead wear the #42. I would never have thought back then that one day my number would be up there next to his and the many other great players that have played for this historic franchise!

A huge thank you to Jedi, Micool, and the rest of the S21 CHAMPIONSHIP WINNING Knights team for this honour!!! I remember during my tenure as Head SMJHL Commissioner I was always secretly cheering for the Knights and was always disappointed to see them come up short. I have a feeling that we won't have to wait another 10 seasons for our next Championship and that the Knights will continue to produce a ton of SHL Superstars!
