What was the new rule in response to? Not many people do more than one a week regardless.
Some people do and from what I understand there was discussion between some of the graders that circumventing the 1 hour cap by doing multiples in a week wasn't the intention, so Gorlab just wanted to make it more clear.

Uhh, hey guys, I do all mine SHL related the whole way through. I think I posted multiple in a week a few weeks ago, so sorry bout that. But honestly, I answer my questions and talk SHL, not try to go off topic too much, I don't give too much thought to random Q's. Like this week, Fernand's weird checkmate questions will be thoroughly glossed over with quick responses so I can get to his Russia questions.
If it's because you want the 1 hour cap to mean something, fine, let it mean something. Have it be a 1 hour per week thing and you could do your 2 30 minute (or 30 2 minute) podcasts, so long as you obey the rules of the cast. But I like talking about the league and it's honestly more fun to put vocal inflection on subject matter people care about. Sure, the Nikast is no Klosecast or TiBfJY, but I think people enjoy listening to podcasts on the way home instead of the radio sometimes (like I do).
I do accept that grading 3 hours worth of podcast shit from the 10 SHL guys who do the casts is bullshit (that's too much per week), but don't cut it to a bunch of guys who usually only do 25 - 45 minute casts (I don't think I've ever gone a full hour, Klosecasts usually run 30 minutes, Pedrocast goes 40, etc.) only getting 1 time per week to post their views on the SHL through sound. Let them get the full hour so they get their money, people get their product, and it's still easy to grade (I'm assuming, media grading has been happening sporadically since the winter break happened but I'm assuming it'll pick back up now that everything is in motion).
If 1 hour a week from 10 guys who like doing SHL podcast stuff (10 hours) is hard to do, I'll listen to it all during my drives to and from work and help out.
Gorlab, I am ever grateful you grade all this shit because it takes a while and takes time out of your day, and that's why I want to extend my hand to help you out. You deserve a break for all the work you put into the league and if that means helping by taking over podcast grading, so be it.
I'm sure graphic artists would love to submit 20 graphics per week and just statpad their bank account super quickly, but guess what, it doesn't happen.
Same logic applies to podcasts. If you don't like it, then don't do podcasts and do written media. Simple as that.

Did you not read what I said?
In case you didn't, TL;DR - Keep the 1 hour cap and let guys post podcasts to get to that cap. Same amount of time, still allows people to specialize their podcasts.
With that argument, same logic does not apply. There's a cap on # of GFX because it's different grading those and it's not a purely $/minute or $/words system, GFX is more qualitative than media, which is still qualitative under what counts as media, but if you do SHL, you get a linear pay scale, it's quantity based.
Under that logic, it should be reasonable to expect that if you put the 1 hour time limit that's what you care about is the amount of $ someone can earn per week. I agree with that. What I don't agree with is stonewalling people more by restricting how many times they can reach that quantitative limit (as opposed to the qualitative limit GFX sets of getting 40 total points on 4 GFX submitted based on an analysis of the GFX in question).
If you want to be a dicktator fine, just get right out and say it and I'll stop spouting reasonable arguments.
But that's fair as well, tbh. If it's trying to limit the # of media produced per week as opposed to WC/minute/GFX point limits, then Kit's right, limit media articles as well. The logic that limits podcasts applies to limiting GFX and translates to the writing media.
