--- Exclusive Interview with Rehn Miller ---
Interview How do you feel about leaving New England? Any hard feelings or anyone in particular you'll miss? Was this expected?
I have nothing but good things to say about my time in New England, when Hamilton asked my thoughts on being traded to the Wolfpack I expected it to be a disaster, given some previous public run-ins with Chisling, but everything was great. If I had to point out one teammate in particular that I'll miss being on a team with - though I'll miss all of them except Cant - it has to be Benjamin Reid, he's just an all around awesome teammate on and off the ice and everyone should play with him once before their career is over.

Interview How do you feel about heading to Seattle? Any expectations?
I'm pretty excited to be heading to Seattle, I love the city and Klose has been trying to trade for me for about 6 seasons now, and now I'll get a chance to be there as a veteran for at least a little while, and I've heard nothing but good things about them; more importantly I'll be able to annoy my old teammate David Winter once again.

--- Exclusive Interview with Wolfpack Co-GM Prettyburn ---
Interview 1. What made you decide to push for McZ?
We have a strong team this season so we didn't approach the deadline specifically looking to fill any holes in our roster. But when we heard that McZ might be interested in joining the Pack, we couldn't turn down the opportunity. McZ is an amazing player and also very active around the league, so we knew he would bring something extra both on the ice and in the LR, and knowing that he wanted to play for us was an extra bonus.

Interview 2. How do you feel about the assets you gave up to acquire him?
As mentioned above, McZ is a great addition in multiple ways, so we knew we'd have to give up a fair amount for him. Moving Miller hurt, but we have such a strong team already that we really couldn't add another player without moving one - demoting a 700+ TPE player to the fourth line would have been a waste of resources. So we think it was a good deal for each side - both giving up a fair amount for a solid return.

--- Confirmed Trade ---

Bryson Thomaz

To: Steelhawks Hamilton Steelhawks
Sam Samsinov

--- Exclusive Interview with Platoon GM Sychez ---
Interview 1. What made you decide to push for Bryson Thomaz & Jacob Cunningham?
It actually wasn't that we were pushing for those 2 guys in particular, we were just looking to get fair value out of the guy we were moving and we felt we received that with Bryson and Jacob. They are 2 high quality players who will really help out our squad a lot for this up-coming off-season, especially considering we're looking to make a push for the cup. They'll help us to score some more goals every night, and that's what we need to win right now.

Interview 2. How do you feel about the assets you gave up to acquire them?
Sam is really a good friend of mine and a fantastic player. He's a really versatile guy who can play on both ends of the ice, as shown by the fact that we played him on our defense for most of this season. He's also a guy that really helps the activity and the morale of a team, so bringing him in was a huge plus side to us. He is a great locker room presence, which makes him a valuable player on and off the ice. it really hurts to lose such a good player as Samsinov, but I like the return we got for him, and I think this deal worked out in our favour. I really wish Sam the best of luck in Hamitlon though as he's an awesome guy.

--- Exclusive Interview with new Platoon player Bryson Thomaz ---
Interview 1. Did you ask to be traded out of Hamilton or did it come at a surprise?
I didn't really ask out, but I told them from the get go that I was likely to test free agency, so no it wasn't a huge surprise to me.

Interview 2. As you pack your bags for West Kendall, what are some of the thoughts going through your head?
My main worry is, will I be welcomed back? I know the teammates are glad to have me back, but I'm mainly worried about the reception I will receive from the fans.

Interview 3. How do you see yourself fitting onto your new lineup?
I'm not too sure yet, I hope it will be a perfect fit. I think we have the team to do some real damage. Can we win the cup? Time will tell.

To: Steelhawks Hamilton Steelhawks
D- Tyler Stropko

--- Exclusive Interview with new Rage player, Armin Brovalchuck ---
Interview 1. Anything to say about your time in Hamilton? Was there anywhere else you preferred that you went to?
I loved my time in Hamilton, the team and management is great and I had a the opportunity to teach the younger guys and take them under my wing. I even got the chance to help out with the lines and trying to find some sort of success with the Hawks. Finally, my individual performance has never been higher, so I must thank Hamilton for that as well.

Interview 2. How do you feel about heading to Manhattan? Any expectations?
I'm both thrilled and nervous. This is a team with a ton of promise, and with my recent play I feel I can boost them to a real cup run. However I don't want to ruin their chance at the cup with my inability to win one.

--- Exclusive Interview with Steelhawks Co-GM Joecool37 ---
Interview 1. What did you see in D- Tyler Stropko to make you aim for him?
He is a solid 2nd pairing defenseman and we hope he still has upside. He have a high need for a defenseman, thats the reason Stropko is a very good fit for us.

Interview 2. How do you feel about moving Brovalchuk and Serpe to acquire him?
Trading a class player like Brovalchuck hurts every team, but we would have lost him to free agency after the season. Thats the reason his market value wasn´t incredible high at the moment. At the end we are very happy with this trade. We get something valuable in return for Brovalchuck and we add a Dman.

--- Exclusive Interview with new North Stars GM, JNH ---
Interview 1. What was your mindset going into the deadline?
Uh we weren't sure but with recent comments made by some of our pending UFA's and retiring players, we decided to go into sell mode. We had a good team, but we weren't clicking despite numerous test sims and other factors. We moved all of the players who weren't going to be here next year as well as Ranjan to free up the net for our future goaltender Harter. It was tough as I consider every player moved to be one of my close friends (I've known almost all since I joined the site ) but it had to be done.

Interview 2. Now that most of the veteran North Stars are gone, who are you counting on now to lead your team?
Uhm we have some real good recreates so I think that's the primary focus. We've got some SHL vets in Stryfe and Scherbluk who should really anchor us from the back end. I also want to see a good presence from the young guys as they're the future of the organization and the guys we really want here long term to build a dynasty around. So a mix of leadership.

Interview How do you feel about moving to Seattle?
Pretty good I've always wanted to be on a team with GOB again after he was my junior gm in PGF as well as there are a lot of other people on the team I like and am looking forward to get to know better.

Interview2. Describe some of your time or experiences in Toronto.
I had a great time in Toronto all the way from the Chiefs Game 7 Finals explosion and being traded to JNH who had just become GM to two Toronto players getting gms suspended for tampering in the same season it was always a good time and I got to meet a lot of new great people and am sure that they will do a good job rebuilding Toronto

--- Exclusive Interview with new Toronto prospect Chance Winston ---
Interview 1. As a highly considered "sleeper pick" many teams had you in their sights. How does it feel to be traded before being able to show what you're capable of in the SHL?
Heading into the draft I knew a lot of teams were classifying me as a "sleeper" pick. Which was nice but also kind of weird at the same time because I thought it should've given me a higher draft ranking but really what can you do?

I did receive calls from a couple teams neither of which were Minnesota or Toronto actually so it feels good as a player to be wanted.

I think being traded before I even hit the SHL however is a bit of a feather in my cap. If no one was paying attention to me as a prospect I wouldn't have been targeted in a trade so that's pretty cool I think.

Interview 2. What're your goals for next season?
Hard to say really. Coming into Toronto who are in an all out rebuild now I expect to suit up for the North Stars. Although I've been struggling with it so far in Vancouver this season, goal scoring is always something I expect of myself. So just cashing in on the chances my team mates provide me with and just playing a solid all around game is something I hope to be able to show I can do at the professional level.

For now I'm trying to keep my focus on the SMJHL season and just getting better each day.

--- Exclusive Interview with new Texas Renegades player Ondrej Ravchitikov ---
Interview 1. How does it feel to be part of the Texas Renegades?
Feels good to be back with the team I won a championship with in my first season. Hopefully lightning strikes twice and we win another.

Interview 2. Did you know or ask ahead of time to be traded?
I did not know which team I would be traded to, but I did ask my GM in Calgary to be traded at the deadline if we were out of the playoff race, which we were. I'm happy with the results either way.

Interview 3. How do you think you'll fit in with your new team?
I think I will fit in as a puck-moving defenseman who can definitely put up some points from the blueline. Texas already has some great defenders, so I feel that I only add more ammunition to that part of the team.

--- Confirmed Trade ---
To: Dragons Calgary Dragons
Alexander Kjaerberg
S23 1st

To: Chiefs Minnesota Chiefs
Niklas Stryker
S24 2nd

--- Exclusive Interview with new Dragon player Alexander Kjaerberg ---
Interview 1. There is some obvious animosity concerning your trade...would you mind describing your feelings?
Well it sucks being traded from a team that I was willing to pledge another 3 seasons to. I really wanted to be a Minnesota Chief for the rest of my career so this is definitely stinging a little bit. I've got nothing but respect for the organization and wish them luck on their chase for a Challenge Cup this season. I still think JT is a good guy and they have a great group of people in that LR; I probably wouldn't have traded it for anything.

Interview 2. Is this something that will be motivating or unmotivating for you?
I'm just going to take it step by step and continue on my path as I always have.

--- Exclusive Interview with new Chief, Niklas Stryker ---
Interview 1. You already seem pretty comfortable in Minnesota... Was this move expected?[/b]
Umm well I was notified by my GM a couple days in advance that a trade could be made, a day before the deadline I was notified that a couple teams had interest in myself. Then on deadline day I had the option to either resign and be traded or go to free agency, so I decided it would be better for me and the team if I resigned. So yes it was very expected that I was going to be traded.

Interview [i]2. How do you plan on making an impact on your new team?[/b]
I just plan on being the guy as they call it, I have been the guy in the past and have proved I can put up consistent seasons. But ideally I want to help the Chiefs get back to the playoffs and make a splash and fun while doing it.

Interview [i]3. The other half of this trade (Alexander Kjaerberg) wasn't too happy about how it was handled. Does this type of transaction make you nervous for your future in Minnesota?

Umm no not at all that was a situation that based around Kjaerberg not being happy with the situation and he thought he had a NTC when in fact it had not kicked in yet.

Rumours have it retiring utility player Dave Smith has been placed on the block. In his final season we are hearing rumblings that General manager JNH is concerned about his teams future and would like to see Smith win another cup.

Our insiders at TSN have determined possible value for this rental as he can be used as a forward and a defencemen in times of need. One source boldy proclaimed they would offer a 500-800 TPE inactive player plus a 2nd round pick if JNH was being a bitch. Another said they would offer a 2nd round pick as they did not want to sacrifice too much of their future.

Is this the year we see some of these old retirement village players on the move... Only time will tell. Back to you folks at the desk!

Schultzy.. you so kind.

But for those who think I crazy with what I wrote. I had an article I was planning and with today being deadline day I felt if I went with it now it could have been rushed and not justified. With the responses I got back from my research that was what I was given feedback on. As I told everyone when I messaged them it would come out anonymous for fun and that I had permission from my GM to ask this kind of information for a fun article. Only JNH knows who I approached and respectively each of the people I spoke to know who I reached out to. And as I promised I kept my end saying I wouldn't reveal who said what.
