<div align="center">Between The Pipes: Edition # 2</div>
In our first edition of "Between The Pipes" we sat down with Kyle Prince, the man who believes he is the best goaltender in this upcoming SMJHL draft. Next on our list is Lee Bowden. Bowden hails from Ediburgh, United Kingdom. Seldom do we get elite level talent out of the UK, especially at the position of goaltender, but we have reason to believe that Lee Bowden may just be the next best goaltending prospect to reach these shores. THe following is an interview conducted with Lee Bowden, so tell us, what do you think of this upcoming prospect? Lee Bowden Height: 6'3" Weight: 154 Lbs Born: 1995 Birthplace: Edinburgh, United Kingdom 1. There are at least six new rookie goaltenders looking for a spot on an SMJHL team this upcoming draft. This seems to be the deepest goaltending depth in some time. What would you say puts you above the rest? It's my commitment to the game, I've sacrificed so much to play at this level. What ever is needed im willing to do and then some, what ever is asked I'll give. 2. What are your personal goals for this upcoming season and what are your expectations of the league? It's to make every one proud, the fans, the gm, the coaches, my family back home hell even my own team mates. I want pepole to look at #13 and say that's our boy in the crease, you know. As for the league I'm honestly expecting it to be hard, not impossible! But hard rookie goalie any team that picks you up is going to want & need that great performance night night out. I'm confident I can provide that performance but I'm gonna have keep putting the hours in at the gym and in practice. 3. Have any teams expressed any interest so far? Do you have any preferences on where you would like to go? Not at the minute but drafts coming up, teams are gonna keep their cards close to their chests so I'm not to concerned yet. 4. What do you think will be the hardest thing to accomplish? Biggest challenge to overcome? The hardest part will be getting a starting posistion, this is one of the deepest goalie drafts I've seen in a league with some allready established tenders. It's gonna be tough but Im confident I can do it. 5. What are you most looking forward to? Walking Into the locker room and seeing my space, to me that's when you know your really part of the team. When i see my jersey and pads allready set out, I just feel like I belong there. 6. Greatest hockey memory? Winning the university cup and ending the season on a shut out over Glasgow. Wining the cup is amazing but beating your rival for it, unbelievable! It also lead to my worst hockey memory ever... Waking up from the victory party hungover somehow in full gear haha" 7. What do you find as your greatest strength between the pipes and possible your greatest weakness? How do you plan on making strides to improve your skills to put yourself ahead of the rest? I'm completely confident in my glove hand and pad stops, that stuff is all day every day. I think my stick control and blocker saves could be improved tho just little mistakes that have let something stupid slip in. That's why I'm gonna hit practice like a tonne of bricks leading up to the draft, I'm gonna be the best goallie I can be by draft day. 602 words.
