Leafs made a good decision…finally

he's a great coach, but he's really done dick all since the cup win, and that with a team with much better management than Toronto has had.

The GM hiring is going to determine whether this was a good move or not imo.

Where the big issue with this. Coaches deserve to get paid more so this gets every coach the chance to be paid more. Coaches are always thrown under the bus when the players play like shit so may as well get the money while they can.

Yep, Buffalo and Leafs offer was the same, he choose Toronto over. Anyone making statements about the money being spent has a team that either can't spend it or they just want to shit on Toronto. It literally has no effect on the team salary wise.

:lol: Spot on. This wasn't a money choice, this was a control and location choice. He has more control in Toronto, and its already being reported he will have quite a bit of power there teaming with Shannahan.
