Giroux-Hartnell, except MacKinnon isn't as good as Giroux, redux and while Hartnell is good, he isn't someone I would take top 10 in this draft
MacKinnon has every opportunity to be as good a player as Giroux. Relating Crouse to Hartnell is silly.

Right, Hartnell had 82 points in his draft year. My b

Mueller and Werenski is a pretty good start to a revamped corps
And that's why I made the switch. It's easy to see I'm a Mueller fan and Werenski is IMO the second best defenseman in the draft. I like Provorov a lot but Werenski is like a Brian Leetch type IMO.

Werenski is so solid. You really can't go wrong picking any defenseman in the first round this year
If I remember correctly, I was really mad at the Sharks for picking Mueller when they did because I wanted the Flyers to get him at 11 that year. I'm happy with Morin too though

i LOVE Werenski…i have a soft spot for American NCAA players, but i don't see Brian Leetch tbh
that is asking for a lot.
I do think he will be a really solid two-way defenseman tho.
love the pick, but I feel like everyone tries to compare spects to all-time greats wayyyyyy too often.
if Werenski is the next Brian Leetch, id be ectastic, but that is hiiiiiiigh hopes

relating pts in their draft yr to how good they will be ) ) )
I mean, I wish I could delve in to the advanced statistics that Crouse put up and compare them but behindthenet.com really doesn't have a whole bunch on major juniors and no one knew what corsi and fenwick were when these guys were getting drafted
I don't like to do it either but it's the best I've got

see i would compare Hanifin to Leetch…but then again I'm a Hanifin "homer"
Werenski will be a really good two-way guy imo, but i don't ever seen him being close to as dynamic offensively as someone like Leetch was.
I hope I'm wrong tho…we need Olympic Gold imo

Eichel, Hanifin, and Werenski should be an excellent group of adds to the US team. The D corps could realistically be:
Suter-Shattenkirk
McDonagh-Faulk
Werenski-Hanifin
Byfuglien
Not as good as Canada's but definitely solid. The forwards could be:
