I've got my backups, thank you very much. I really like Roy though :(

Tbh, the draft is one of my favorite parts of the season and I go really in depth on it

the draft is probably my single favorite event in the NHL outside of watching my team in the playoffs

Since I'm guessing your team is CBJ, neither of us got to watch that happen :(

The Minnesota Wild are extremely proud to select at 20th overall, from the Kelowna Rockets, Nick Merkley.

Steal, had him slated around 15

I kind of thought so.
I also think that as far as the Wild's prospect depth chart, they need some more big time forwards.
So I'm happy with what I got, here.

I had them more in the mindset to go with a defenseman, but with Merkley on the board I don't think it's wise to pass up on him.

Same but definitely didn't expect him to go to Minny with their prospect depth at the center position

We'll be running him more on the right wing, I'd say. Center is a deep position for us, but the wings are lacking.

Would have to switch him to LW for it to make sense. Tuch, Keranen, and Mitchell down the RW are pretty formidable

Willing to package 36 and 41 for another 1st Round Pick

That's true. At least as far as Tuch goes.
And we have some decent, albeit not great centers in the system.
Either way, I don't mind going for best available here, especially when I can add to our forward depth.
