I could understand Regina or Montreal doing this, but not Vancouver.

The Knights are good now and can beat Vancouver. It happens. Maybe one day Montreal or St. Louis will do the same thing to Detroit.

When you're only around for the back to back losses it sucks.

Actually, everyone on our roster has only been a part of the back to back losses not the back to back cups.

Bingo. It sends a really bad message if we know there can be BLATANT cheating but it comes with a light suspension. I understand needing to stick to the rules but there really should be some leeway in situations like these.
Though he was already stripped of the title when he stepped down, as I said it shouldn't even have come to that. He should have been fired as soon as he admitted what he did.

See, I have to ask though. If the Knights had done it to ensure their three-peat, would you be as understanding as to their reasons as you are to mryourface's? Because I feel like if the situation were the other way around, a lot of the same people who are defending this would be calling for someone else's head.

That's why if an SHL GM gets caught tampering, which is similar in the fact that the team is gaining an unfair advantage, the team gets punished.

I'm a Whalers alum, but the team should lose a draft pick imo

I misread it like Joker did, I took it to mean like, punish the players somehow. A pick is good, that's why I said the punishment should be harsher.

I'm simply stating that based on the fact that with Detroit's win Montreal and Regina are the two franchises who have the longest streak without winning a cup. Not talking about the management or teams being shitty.

Vancouver cheating because "they keep losing to Kelowna" doesn't fly when you consider their recent history compared to other teams in the league.
