S23 SHL AWARDS SHOW</div>

Hello, boys and girls, and welcome to the S23 SHL Awards Show, live from Boston, Massachusetts! I'll be your host, Vsevolod Nikitin, and I’d first like to congratulate the host Wolfpack New England Wolfpack Wolfpack on their Challenge Cup victory over the Edmonton Blizzard. Now that everyone’s in their seats (though I do expect some late arrivals), let’s get the show underway with some early announcements.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The first announcement may come as a shock to some, but the SHL is discontinuing the awarding of the Kain Webb award for the hardest working player. This is no knock on Kain Webb’s fantastic career, but a knock on the awarding of the award in season’s past. We hope to move forward with better awards to show our appreciation for those that contribute to the SHL Community.

There are also some awards that are changing names. Speaking of recognizing great players, these name changes come to recognize the innovators and significant people that helped shape the league over the past 23 seasons. Here’s the list of changes:

- Clarence S. Campbell Bowl (Awarded to the champion of the Western Conference) -> Cole Reinhart Trophy
- Prince of Wales Trophy (Awarded to the champion of the Eastern Conference) -> Mathias Chouinard Trophy
- President’s Trophy (Awarded to the team with the best regular season record) -> Jeff Krever Trophy
- Coach of the Year (Awarded to the GM tandem that best coached the group of players available to them) -> Joe McKeil Award
- GM of the Year (Awarded to the GM tandem that made the best front office decisions during the course of the season) -> Lance Uppercut Award

Congratulations to the players and people who now are immortalized in the SHL world!

TEAM AWARDS

Now, on to the easy awards to announce! We have already mentioned the Challenge Cup winners (audience roars in approval), but now we go to the other teams that had outstanding performances over the course of the season.

The newly anointed Cole Reinhart Trophy is awarded to the runner-up Challenge Cup finalist Blizzard Edmonton Blizzard Blizzard ! Congratulations on being the best of the West!

The Mathias Chouinard Trophy goes to the eventual Challenge Cup Champion Wolfpack New England Wolfpack Wolfpack ! These guys had a truly remarkable run this season!

Finally, the Jeff Krever Trophy fittingly goes to the best team of the regular season, runner-up Challenge Cup Champions a season ago, Panthers Los Angeles Panthers Panthers ! It’s not a Cup, but it’s a statement of future potential dominance!

STATISTICAL INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

Again, we get to an easy category. There are statistical milestones every player wishes to hit in their playing career, and some of the players on this list of award winners hit those milestones in a single season! Let’s congratulate some astonishing performances from the previous season!

First, we have the Sergei Karpotsov Trophy, awarded to the player that scored the most points over the course of the regular season. The award goes to:

<div align="center">MAGNUS JAKOBSEN, Steelhawks </div>

for his 57 point performance (24G, 33A)!

Next is the Jack McDonald Trophy, awarded to the player that scores the most goals over the course of the regular season. The award is a split decision between:

<div align="center">MAGNUS JAKOBSEN, Steelhawks , and VIDRIK ONOPRIENKO, Jets </div>

as both put 24 pucks in the back of the net!

We have to give props to the guys that usually keep those pucks out of the net, and the Mike Honcho Trophy does that, with the starting goalie with the lowest GAA receiving this award. And that goaltender is:

<div align="center">JERMAINE TENNYSON, Wolfpack </div>

since Tennyson was the starter during New England’s run for the Cup and maintained a 2.12 GAA, only being beaten by backup goalies Edwin Ask and Eric White!

And the final statistical award goes to the goon of the league, the <b>Turd Ferguson Award, awarded to the player who amasses the most penalty minutes in a season. And the winner is:

<div align="center">[b]KASPARS TSIZLING</b>, Wolfpack</div>
