Just don't use racial slurs in any context. I really don't see how hard this is. It doesn't matter if it can be used as a term of endearment because of the harsh meaning of the word. We don't know who is offended of what. I know what you're saying. "Oh because one guy could be hurt we have to remove it from our vocabulary?" Yes. Society moves at the pace of it's slowest goers. It's why we have speed limits and drug laws. I'm sure we'd all like to drive 70 wherever we are but because some asshole hit a kid in a residential zone and killed him/her, we have to do 25. A lot of society likes to get high but because somebody got high and killed their family, we have to not get high or face jail time. In this microcosm of our society, we have to move together, even if that means moving slower than some of us might like. Otherwise, we end up with shit like this

I think we can all agree that saying something like "my n****" and "you n****" are completely different in terms of context. I agree the word shouldn't get tossed around so freely, but idk how i feel about this. For me its like this.. I say "that's gay" which is a common word to say for something sucks.. but if i say "you are gay" well then i'm offensively attacking someone. So, saying "yo my n****" which is a common term used to say hey... whereas calling someone a n***** is directly attacking them. Things like this should just be judged by the context of what it is in. That's just my two cents though.
