I for one agree with both sides. I can see how some find it disrespectful and I can see how some see it as a simple way of saying "bro" or "buddy". Black people say it amongst each other all the time! Everyone is right here imo. It can be used as a very hateful word and no one would just walk up to someone and say it, not even a white person simply because it's a poor, negative word. I agree that we shouldn't be throwing the word around here. I hope we ban the use of "cracka" then too. I hate seeing one side always bitch and complain because there's hate towards them. For example, gay pride parades or things for that... why don't we have "straight parades"? Another example, everyday I see posts on facebook about the "not so pretty girls" who are judged, are fat or ugly etc. What about the guys...? The guys who are self conscious about their bodies? You never see that shit and that's just how the world works.
It's honestly sad but that's how it is. Society and those in power pick and choose what is good, bad, acceptable and not in this world. We just live in those guidelines.

Yes, but letting go would be better. Some of my best friends growing up were German, I have no issue with them on a personal level and their country has been rather model since and my friends have admitted to be quite embarrassed by it, so I hold no grudge, what exactly did they do to me.
I am not sure what exactly causes Birks to feel that way personally, but I agree comments like that have absolutely no place on a public forum.
