Merica is better than him if you don't believe that then you need to re-think what you're saying in this argument. I am sure Colt could have put up 40+ points too if he was playing nearly three times the minutes he got as Merica was.

Oh look, he is actually getting those minutes now and is on pace for 40 points on the last place team, Merica is still getting those minutes as he always has and is on pace for 24 points on the first place team.

"Bouncing back" was ten games ago.

You have 17 points Merica has 10 points wow huge difference. Merica can go off for like a game or two where he has 3-4 point game then he can be right there with you in terms of points.

But let's see your 40+ points does anything for your team.

I DO have 17 points, which is a previous career high in 52 games, after only 22.


Prior to today, Merica had 7 points in 20 games. Not exactly the superstar you'd expect from someone talking so much shit.

Of course Merica can go off like that, just doesn't seem like it's happening much this season and it's not like he isn't getting the chances, especially on the power play, to put up those sorts of numbers. There is no reason a player like his shouldn't be when the rest of the team seems to be functioning fine.

So Colt cant have a few poor seasons to start things off before he starts producing? You can take any player in the SHL, any superstar player can have a bad start to their career and then produce at a consistent rate for the remainder of the year.

Most people wait until they actually produce before they start putting themselves in the category you have. You haven't done anything and yet you are here claiming to be better than one of the best players in SHL history. It makes no sense man.

No GM in this league would take you over O'Callahan. That should tell you something.

All arguing aside, where did I claim I was better? I don't believe I said so, I said I should be comparable and am having a comparable season but I do not believe I said Colt was better and if I did that would be my mistake.

It will be a fair few really good seasons before I can even begin to make the argument of better, but for now I can make an argument for comparable as our attributes are fairly close and Cally in the later years is producing roughly the same as Colt is right now.

Try to to be unbiased and look at the players, without previous output, without stats but based solely on attributes and planned career length remaining. Both players as I have show are very similar in attributes or will be soon, so a smart GM would take those stats for fifteen seasons longer if given the opportunity I'd think.

As there is no reason for a player with a build like Colts to produce poorly, then again (not meant as an attack) Merica and if you want another example, Jalopski, have apparently found those reasons.

Lastly, that third rounder being added is a joke. When we traded Cally to the Riot, GoB had a 3rd rounder included going back the other way as he wasn't happy getting only CoC.

The trade I was hoping to show off is if the trading for the potential of having a new O'Callahan for another twenty seasons by giving up the sure thing now would be worth it since Colt is modeled after O'Callahans style of play.

I agree, no GM would accept it now as is. Carter has the rep, Colt doesn't yet.

My argument here is that there is the potential to have the same rep or better.
