This season was my first season in the SMJHL and probably not my last. I've been taught a lot, got to play with some great guys. I had a rookie season ANY rookie could ask for. Sometimes I wonder if I had it TO good for rookie season on a winning hockey club. I've always wanted to become a great hockey player. My goal heading into the SHL is to get a roster spot. It may be tough but I'll be pushing hard for that spot on the team that drafts me roster. I haven't been pushing myself as much as I should be heading into this draft because of me being very busy outside of hockey and it's very tough sometimes.
So I came into the SMJHL with high hopes that I'd be a star. I've missed some trainings and I highly regret it. I'll just work harder and outlast the others and someday me in the Hall of Fame. It's thinking a lot, but it's not bad to have long term thoughts on great achievements. It's a challenge to apply yourself to stick with something that you should love but that doesn't inspire you. I try to push my hardest to improve and grow as a player. I would like to be an ambassador for the SHL or SMJHL, I feel I can put up with the challenge and mental thoughts. I like to always think ahead of my to-be success and really thrive off of it. It helps me and it will hopefully work in the long run. I would like to thank everyone who helped me and the Montreal Impact Organization for bringing me in as an unsigned free agent and really shake things up. I started as a low tier third line guy and now I'm a middle tier second line center in the playoffs. It's incredible on how everything turned around and it's made me not only a better player but a better person. This season has taught me a lot of things, leadership, dedication, improvement and lots more. It's safe to say it "was a ride". Beginning with me calling all the General Managers (literally all, even SHL) then I got an answer from a few teams but chose Montreal and that was an incredible chose. I couldn't be happier with this hockey club. To Argar and Blues for being there with advice and sometimes constructive criticism. For opening up the door of opportunity with the Impact. For seeing potential in me that barely anybody did. Thanks for everything. Thanks to Baelor or Lord Pretty Flacko for writing me practically an essay (pretty much no joke) on why I should join the Impact when they offered me a contract. It makes me laugh every time I see it nowadays. He was also the first one to welcome me to the Impact and I will never forget that. Thank you. Shoutout to the rest of the Impact for being supportive and such a great group of guys. It's a great atmosphere to be in and it's great to always know that I'm welcome back if I can't get a roster spot on a SHL team and I'll be very glad to come back. In conclusion I'd say that my season expectations were met and that I have gave my thanks for showing me the path to today. Words: 564 ![]() Registered Just an old member |
