It was pretty much the first thing that turned up when you googled his name (still is I think, even if a bunch of the links are dead now). This didn't happen until a few months after the incident though, by that time the commishes and a couple of people that were close to Nando already knew about the allegations, they just hadn't shared it with the public yet.
