What he did happens all the time - he basically did nothing. ![]() Banned Secretly Loves Montreal Quote:Originally posted by probablydrunk@Oct 9 2015, 12:23 AMfair enough then ![]() Registered S23, S38 Challenge Cup Champion and wittle pretty princess
I'm a Habs fan and used to like Lucic, got less and less as time went on to where he is currently at, which is Matt Cooke level douchebag.
I am so excited at the prospect of Getzlaf beating the shit out him. ![]() ![]() Registered S22 and S28 Challenge Cup Champion
I don't crying is the way to put it, but he does seem to get rattled when a guy lays a clean hit on him more often than not. Whereas other guys acknowledge the hit and move on to go do their own legal hit. Lucic seems to go after guys and think that no one is allowed to lay a finger on him. The bad thing with that is it seems to actually throw him off his game from what I've seen.

In this situation tho the game is already over and him taking a shot at Couture does nothing to hurt his team. His problem is when he does this stuff in situations that does hurt his team. This particular instance tho I just don't see what the big deal is ![]() Registered S22 and S28 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by Shevy Shev@Oct 8 2015, 11:21 PMI think the only big deal in this situation was how easy it was for Couture to get that flip switched. I mean technically at that point in the game it really has no barring on the rest of the game, but how quickly Lucic turned was what people are laughing at. Maybe it's just me but from what I saw, Couture was coming out of the box and it looked like the hit was the only safe player he could do without getting steam rolled. ![]() ![]() LA Panthers Goaltender ![]() Registered S24 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by C.J.@Oct 8 2015, 10:14 PM For me crying in sports rarely involves tears below are some examples; Lebron yelling at the ref after he thinks he was fouled. (he's the best player in the world, yes he gets fouled every play) Bryce Harper looking back at the umpire after a called third strike. You are taught to protect with 2 strikes from a very young age. James Harden calling himself the best player in the league - when Steph Curry beat him for MVP, and beat him enroute to a ring. ![]() Registered S22 and S28 Challenge Cup Champion Quote:Originally posted by probablydrunk@Oct 8 2015, 11:35 PM#1 That's whining. I guess the definition could be different or the same for some. #2 Baseball umps suck though, so no surprise. Some he has a point on, some he doesn't. #3 Is that crying or jealousy to the point of disrespect? ![]() ![]() LA Panthers Goaltender ![]() Registered Posting Freak Quote:Originally posted by probablydrunk@Oct 9 2015, 01:35 AM Don't bring in basketball into this. The Kings are similar to the Bruins in regard to wanting to be a physical, hard to play against team. That point in the game is a perfect time to "send a message" Obviously Couture laughed it off and that's why it's funny, but if it happened in a close game and cost the Kings a win, then I could see it being something really worth talking about. ![]() Registered Merica's Lover Quote:Originally posted by :Mac:@Oct 9 2015, 12:57 AMI'm not... I'd rather not have Getzlaf hurt his hand fighting someone who's not worth the energy, I'd much rather have Stoner, Manson, McGratton, Maroon, Bieksa, Jackman or any of the other easily replaceable guys who fight do the heavy lifting there. ![]() Registered S23, S38 Challenge Cup Champion and wittle pretty princess Quote:Originally posted by Maxy@Oct 9 2015, 01:04 PM I know, I don't want his hand broke either, how else would he comb his luscious locks? ![]() |
