Hello SHL,
For a series of racist remarks in the Paris Attacks thread, more precisely one post immediately after the attacks that got deleted and a series of posts made the next day that are still there to read, the Discipline Committee and the Head Office have decided to issue a
permaban against the user hedgehog 337. We know that this is a very harsh punishment and that this whole thread presented a special situation, with lots of members being angry and saying stuff that they probably wouldn't repeat today. We also understand that after a terrorist attack, something like sim league discipline is the last thing on peoples mind, therefore we decided to let slide the majority of things that were said in there. However some comments are still unacceptable no matter what the circumstances are and we intend to have a zero tolerance stance when it comes to racism and posts that call for violence against people based on their religion, this is why feel that a ban is necessary here.
hedgehog337 had used his right to appeal this decision, however his appeal was denied by the Commissioners. In accordance with the rules, hedgehog's player Valdemorts Karlensons will get to play out this season and then be auto-retired whereas the ban against the user is effective immediately.

Sorry but this isn't how the rules work, to be completely honest I'm actually not a fan of him getting to play out the rest of the season either, but that's just my personal opinion. People get game suspensions that apply right away for relatively minor stuff, but for some reasons someone doing something really terrible makes them exempt from that rule and his player doesn't get suspended for the current season, I don't think that's very fair actually.
