No trades? But how to teams get gud?

Monetary transfers. "Team A acquires Player X from Team B for £2,400,000", for instance. I was just saying none of the US sports tradition of players and draft picks being the main assets.

By the way, if anyone wants to hear my ideas on how European football could go, let me know. I've been brainstorming for a while after getting excessively excited about someone mentioning it.

I'm not sure if there's enough interest, however.

(Also, we'd need loans and pre-contracts.)

@JHS: Makes sense, I apologise for my disrespectful attitude in here. Smile If anyone creates said thread, I'll hop on the discussion. Will go back to on-topic in here.

Again I'm another guy with OOTP 16. And I can help out with whatever, be it simming or GMing or anything else.

Alright. So we probably need these positions filled then. Let's see what we can cover and we can establish some form of communication from there.

Probably at least 6 or 8 GM's. Not sure how big we want the league, but for 6 teams your looking at a minimum of 11 players per team (LF, CF, RF, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, SS, Starter, Closer, Reliever, Center) so 66 players or 88 for 8 teams. I think it's more likely we fill a lot less than both those markers to be honest, but that being said we don't need a full roster for each team.

And then probably 4 GM's for the equivalent of Junior players.

At least 1 banker, player updater, progression manager, 2 comms (one pro, one junior) and probably a few dc members. A simmer and a media grader.

Looking at this;

~ OOTP Needed ~

6-8 Pro GM's (?)
4 Junior GM's (?)
1 Pro Comm
1 Junior Comm
1 or 2 Player Updaters
1 or 2 Simmers

~ NO OOTP ~

DC Members
1 Progression Manager
1 or 2 Bankers
1 or 2 Media Graders

that's really ambitious. We should start with 4 pro teams and 2 juny teams

technically nobody needs OOTP except the simmer but GM's should be familiar with it

Yeah I wasn't sure for juniors. I thought maybe the max we got was 40-50 guys.

And how are we going to work in AAA and AA etc.? Will it be a thing? GM's will need to have lineups set to switch every other game and such, so it's going to be difficult to manage overall. If we get it going though I'm sure we can do it.

You don't really need OOTP unless you're a Commish or a simmer.

I'm leery about incorporating a DC as well.

Six teams would be a fine place to start. If I were running it, it'd be like how baseball originally started. No conferences, just everyone fighting for a pennant. The divisions will build themselves with rivalries and more teams coming in.

As far as number of players - I don't know. I could make some bots to fill out rosters or include in a supplemental draft ... ?

2 player updaters, 2 media graders, 2 bankers, a graphics grader, 1 head commish and 2 assistant committees per league

Yeh I don't want a DC, but lets nit get ahead of ourselves here. Is there any way that we can start making a realistic plan for the league, GCool?

Sounds like a plan. By Assistant committees I assume you meant Comms? 1 Main comm, 2 assistant comms? Would make sense, 3 votes on each matter and such.

Fair enough. And yeah, we should slow down and think about how to get this process started.

Yes, but like I've tried to say, timing isn't great for me right now. Even in a few weeks I'll be ready to turn it to 11.

Google Doc? I'll be able to check in easily there, and it won't be like I'm chiming in once every 5 pages on a forum.
