The Captain`s Log #3
#1

<div align="center">[Image: qnqmhw.png]</div>

And again some while has past and its time to release next Captain's Log. There are many things happened from last release. Has past preseason with friendly games and started regular seasons. Portland till now shows decent play, although Portland is in last place at the West conference, but showed that they wont give away easy wins. Also had been made some changes in the lines. Portland fans are waiting when Sven Karlsson will makes bigger contribution, at the moment he looks confused and missed. But waiting, we believe in Karlsson.

<div align="center">ADMIRAL CLOSE-UP</div>
Like previous, we continue tell about Admirals players. And now its time for Buzz Killington. We met Buzz at local library, so lets see what we found out.
Buzz was one of lucky childs cause he got everything he wanted. Father of little Buzz had job with very good salary. Like usualy happen with such kids, Buzz become spoiled, also he had video game addiction. He never went out with friends, just played video games. But once after Christmas, father had enought and took away all game consols. Buzz hadnt other choice and he went out. In shed he found old skates and steped on the frozen pool. And so he learned to skate, with little accident.
Talking about hockey, it came little later. First hockey training he attended when he started to learn in highschools senior year till that he played rugby. In hockey Buzz also accidently appeared. Once hockey coach saw how rugby guys had fun on frozen pond and Buzz made few good shots. Later turned out that Buzz has good slap shot and he very good fights.
Now he still has good slap shot and like to fight. Now he prefer boxing and philosophy books. With philosophy he try to relax from casual problems. Such is our Buzz Killington, strong but with some girly stuff.

<div align="center">MEETING FANS</div>
Before starts regular season, Portland Admirals arranged meeting with fans (signing, photos and some activities). The most attended activitie was "Be better than Nevzorov", you had to shoot a gool between legs or in one of corners. And if you manage it, you could get invitation to VIP party for 2 persons.
<div align="center">[Image: 2dqm2kw.jpg]</div>
The days main event was Admiral player auction, where you could get date with player. Of course all raised money went to charity.
First on the line was Bukss, there wasnt any fight for him. All happened fast, the bid was only 100$, probably cause Bukss havent been real Admiral yet, just simple sent-down. The same was with new drafties. The biggest fight was for our captain and his assistants. For Scholz bid made also one men and won. But Brumm was sold to an old madam. Karlsson will go to dare with young and pretty women. Total was raised 200k$. Next time i will show and tell how was the dates.
When all dates was sold and meeting with fans was ended, all who were invited went to club where started VIP party. To party was invited also all SMJHL teams, to show how great are Admirals.

<div align="center">AND AGAIN TO DETROIT</div>
After five payed games Portland decided to send down one of most promising defender. Although player from his draft class is more skilled than him, but Bukss now is hard working and try to do everything to reduce the gap between him and his draft class. After last team trainig, just before sending down, we caught Andris Bukss to little interview.
<div align="center">[Image: Br_MOruCQAILjtr.jpg]</div>

Interview Do you feel like your teammates will treat you differently since you have experienced the show?
Hmm...i hope not. I payed in Detriot previous season so old guys know me. Maybe the new one from this season draft could be envious, but the rest of guys wont, I hope. But in the end of regular season I will convinced them. The biggest value is that I could teach them the big league wisdoms.

Interview Was there any chirping because you were sent down?
Maybe, but I havent seen. Of course I could be useful for Admirals due to bad start, but imagine my performance when I will return. Then maybe also Maximilian and Mason will join us. So Portlands force will noticeably rise.

Interview What did you learn from your short time in the SHL? Differences in the game?
The first thing, Im not one of teams and league leaders. In last season in SMJHL I was one of the best shot blockers with 61 blocked shots, I was also TOP10 in played minutes. In SHL to achieve such stats, I need to work hard and then maybe in 3 or 4 seasons I could. Talking about difference in the game, speed is much higher, also strategy is more intelligent. So I need to learn and learn.

Interview Do you think you will be ready to compete in the SHL as early as next season?
I think yes. This season I almost managed to get in big league. Thanks to GM for showed trust, although for 5 games.

Interview How long until you feel the Admirals will be ready to contend for a cup?
Hard to say, definitely not this season. Need to get stronger and build up muscles, other teams have stronger players. Our team leaders in other teams could play only in 2nd or 3rd line. Also Portland is very young team and dont have experience. So i think at best 4 or 5 seasons.

InterviewWhat has been the most valuable part of playing in the juniors?
Good question and also great answer. I don’t know, maybe some little popularity.

InterviewWhat attributes are you currently working on/looking to improve?
I need to increase endurance so I could play much more time in game. Also so I could break in first line. Of course I need also increase defense. But now I will focus on endurance.

<div align="center">SOME ENTERTAINMENT</div>
<div align="center">Interesting fact about latvians.</div>
You know those rivets on your jeans? You’ve got a Latvian to thank for it. Jacob Davis partnered with Levi Strauss to bring his invention to the denim-clad masses.
<div align="center">
Little joke</div>
Men in his life has periods when he is cold to women. It is 1st, 2nd and 3rd period in ice hokey.
