Ragnar moved the Firebirds back to PG after the Regina disaster. I see no reason why the SMJHL Commissioners couldn't block this if they wanted to. They control the SMJHL.

I'm not an alum, but the more I see this, the angrier I get. I've heard all the history of the Impact, and it's upsetting to read the outrage of known alums.

The logo seems so rushed. Like GMs said, alright needs to be out at 9... And then they were told nothing was ready and they threw it together. The guns are bad. Just... Bad. The reversed M, bad.

Here's to hoping this will get reversed, especially with how much outrage there is over it.

I feel bad for you alums.

Fair. But I think the league could have been more creative there and go with a completely original name.

Every time I look at it...just seems ridiculous.

It comes down to having a little originality. Same with Impact and Mammoths (NLL).

I don't really see why it's hard to have an original name.

Isn't a Chiefs logo from a foreign hockey league?

The Admirals logo is from a minor league team in Milwaukee.

Yeah, Militia is a fucking horrible name, but if you use another name that works then it works! I don't think history or precedent for other sports teams should really play into it.

Again, I don't see what is so hard about original names and logos. Some real good gfx makers here.

Militia is bad though.
