Collberg's probably the most exciting prospect we've had in awhile. I can't remember the last forward he brought what he brings to the table.

Small and a lot of skill?

That's an incredibly weak argument to try and say he's better, man... I highly doubt you've made a couple trips to Sweden to watch Collberg.

I wasn't talking about Collberg. Phil said "Finn isn't even that good dude"

Besides, I've seen Collberg in the WJC and other tournaments like the U18s. I never said he wasnt good. I actually wanted him in the second round when I didn't know Finn was still there. Even if I made trips to Sweden to watch him play I wouldn't be impressed and I would have seen nothing of him. He had 0 points in 52 games in the SEL. He played on average around 7-10 minutes a game.

I agree with Giova. A pro scout's rankings and your rankings are completely different. Pro scouts have unbias rankings and have watched all the top prospects play to make an accurate ranking. You might have watched them play, but I guarantee not as much and not as closely as the pros. Plus, your draft rankings could be bias and I would definitely take a pro scout's over yours.

Now, the biggest thing people never seem to understand is the following: It is all potential. POTENTIAL is the key word. A player might have the potential to score 40 goals, but he plays in the NHL, doesn't pan out, and busts. Yakupov, Murray, Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Reinhart, and every single prospect drafted has POTENTIAL. Will they pan out? We'll only know in a couple of years. People arguing that he'll be better without watching them play at the NHL level and proving themselves is completely useless. Let's talk when they've played in the NHL and have NHL facts to back up their play. Then we can decide who was the biggest steal.

What Giova said made no sense. I said that some scouts rankings had him as high as 9. Which is even better than where I had him at 13. So since your saying the scouts that get paid for it know more then that helps my argument. And about the you saying that scouts watch te players more than I do, well that's probable. But there are some prospects like Finn, Faksa, Maatta, etc. that I probably watch more since I've seen them atleast around 20 times, a lot more in Faksa's case. Scouts generally have a handful of viewings of a player in their draft year. Then they collaborate with other scouts and tell then what they saw from the player and listen and compare to what other scouts saw.

And when did I say every prospect pans out? I never did. Im just saying who I think will be the biggest steals are.
