It's outrageous, and to structure a serious argument around it is ludicrous. People do think about this, stop pegging everyone that wants an abortion into the same hole. Im willing to bet, with a lot of money the amount of money that would be denied to the lazy drug users who mooch welfare would easily offset the drug testing cost. Shit i dont know a single person on welfare that would pass that test. Know quite a few who wouldnt though

You do know not every woman is able to have a simple pregnancy so subjecting a person that can't afford or nurture a child right to a pregnancy birth is pretty harsh. "Can't keep their legs shut" is such a old saying that needs to fucking phase out cause it's a horseshit statement. Teaching abstinence and staying away from any sexual feelings is how you get dumb kids making dumb babies.

States could spend over $850,000 on drug tests and what did they find? .002 of welfare users actually failed drug tests.. What a waste of money that could go to other things that actually help.

Ideally there is adoption or foster care, but that is also forcing the future mother to carry said child through 9 months and not only change their body involuntarily but also risk their own life potentially to care for said fetus.

My opinion is women should have control of what goes on in their own bodies, and we should improve sexual education so we can reduce the risk of people getting STDs and becoming pregnant. The religious right is so far backwards they refuse to acknowledge that regardless of their "abstinence programs" hormones take over and cause kids to have uneducated sex which leads to pregnancy. Increase education and you are already decreasing the odds of someone having an unwanted pregnancy and having to make the decision between abortion, adoption, or whatever else.

I'm fine with promoting abstinence, but you have to make sure kids are aware of how to be safe if they do choose to get involved in a sexual relationship with someone else.

I hate the foster system, you know what sounds better? Death. Yup that makes sense.

If the steps for getting pneumonia were as much of a conscious decision as getting pregnant youd have a point. You dont, because its not, its YOUR CHOICE to risk getting pregnant, not the kid youre murdering, its literally only two people who have anything to do with that. Nobody was forcing you to have sex, you think youre mature enough to do that, then you should be mature enough to deal with the consequences. How is it fair at all to murder a child because youre an immature irresponsible dumbass.
