The Toronto North Stars have released Tinkko Hartikken, freeing up $1.5 million of cap space in season 7. Hartikken spent time in the minors with Detroit while getting occasional time with Toronto as an injury call-up.

Toronto is expected to have close to $15 million to work with this off-season on top of an already loaded roster.
