This was not an easy trade to make but with Clitsome moving on and Tanner entering regression it made the most sense for the team to get some value for an ageing asset. I can't thank Tanner enough for everything he has taught me and everything he has done for Hamilton, he's a legend in these parts and will be sorely missed. Jakobsson was a blue chip prospect and while it was unfortunate we had move Casper we are pleased with our return.

O'Reilly instantly becomes Hamilton's best defenceman and is the best one we have had in quite some time. Connor is in his prime and can contribute great things in a Steelhawk jersey, we are very happy to have him. This truly marks the end of an era in Hamilton and for better or worse this will now be considered the "Dangles" era of the Steelhawks.
