thats not tough lol

I didn't watch the video clips but they have their moments. Overall they are tough with lapses in judgement that just make me go like wtf seriously henrik? They have a fetish for hooking people and sometimes do the dumbest dives, but I'll chalk that up to them being European and they're still very classy and tough

It's true... If these guys are soft then why don't more players play like them? They take beatings from every tough guy in the league. They get run at, they get tossed into scrums.

Toughness isn't the ability to fight or put in a good check, they are tough in their own right. Henrik just set the Canucks record in consecutive game's played.

I'll take a 100 point player who doesn't hit much, or might try to stay healthy over a 50 point guy, whose tougher but also will get injured because he is so gritty

Sedins get no respect from the league despite them being the best, year after year
durability is not the same thing as toughness...the sedins absolutely disapeared in the finals because the bruins were physical with them.

theyre great players, but theyre soft...its not really an argument.
gretzky was soft...doesnt mean he isnt the best of all-time

Back in Gretzky's day his protectors could and would actually protect him.. sedins don't have that luxury.

No offense, but that second last paragraph is one of the dumbest things I've ever read....of course you'd take an 100 point scorer over a 50 point scorer, who wouldn't? lol

If you get punched and flop on the ground, that makes you tough?

My issue is they don't protect their teammates. It's one way. They expect to be protected, but won't defend their teammates or themselves.

I ain't being the slightest bit tough in this situation. I just wish people weren't so biased. Both teams took some shitty penalties and dived and took cheap shots. Point fingers all you want but the goal at the end of the game is to have more tallies then the other team. There is no need to fight amongst other members because of some mean nothing NHL game. If this was an intelligent conversation about both teams heated rivalry then sure, discuss it. I didn't see that in here

There goal isn't to protect there teammates. David Kreijci doesn't protect his teammates, does that make him not tough? Not at all, that's just not his job. That's why teams have guys like Thornton and Volpatti and neil on the team.

Every team has their scorers and there grinders. You can't say one guy isn't tough because his role doesn't call him to protect his teammates. I mean if this was a perfect world every player would be James Neal. I use him as an example because he scores and will stand up for himself if he needs too. This isn't a perfect word and the talent is divided into many areas

sorry but you're wrong...even krejci stands up for his teammates.
he might not drop the gloves with tougher guys...but he gets in scrums if necessary.
i dont think ive ever seen a Sedin even get involved phyiscally in a scrum tbh

Getting into a scrum isn't defending your teammates my friend. Getting into a scrum is basically picking a partner and make sure he isn't involved in the altercation. The Sedins do it, Krejci does it, hell almost everyone does it. That's not a classification of defending your teammates. Defending your teammates is when one of them gets hit you go over and settle the score

He actually fought too. I thought he'd pull a Weisse(sp?)

But yeah, he's still my least favorite player in the NHL by far. Probably only player I hate besides Luongo.
