Exactly. I have a player in the SHL to follow this season while I get my new player ready for the SHL next season. Perfect for what I want Smile

) I don't have to skip a season in the SHL and I don't have to deal with a part of the league I don't enjoy anymore. Win/win!

If a player isn't drafted / refuses to sign in the shl, aren't they unable to do shl pts? Same should go for smjhl, imo.

Would be pretty simple to put in a rule that says that recreates that are made after the draft are always pushed to the next draft class instead of included as a late entry in the current one. Would also be pretty simple to continue to not care about it. I probably won't have a strong opinion either way for another 9-10 seasons.

That's fine, then you just don't retire your player until after the draft Smile

And if you implement a rule that ALL recreates, regardless of when you retire or not are stuck waiting until the next draft you have people who come back to the site all the time to start over, and you're punishing them. So the simple solution is everyone get their panties out of a bunch and let someone who doesn't want to waste their time in the SMJHL, sit out.
