Season 7 Team Canada Announced
#1

It is that time of year again. With the LA Panthers reigning supreme over the Minnesota Chiefs in a dramatic Game 7 overtime win in the SHL Finals, the league now steps into the off-season. For many players this is a well deserved rest, but for some it only marks another opportunity to win glory for themselves and their country. Yes, it is time for IHF World Championships.

Recently selected by the league to managed the luxurious Team Canada, Nick Fisher found himself to battle over many grueling decisions on the players to represent the red maple leaf. Being the reigning champions, Fisher experienced an increased pressure to make a team that would live up to the gold medal winning team that Ron Mexico created just a season ago. There where a few players who were obvious decisions, but there were many others that were not so easy. This is when the young Nick Fisher called on the advice of a former teammate. Michael Abdalla agree to help Fisher with deciding in who would make this great team. Abdalla and Fisher spent the day trying to decide on who should make the last openings on Team Canada.

Without further ado, here is the players that will be representing Canada in the Season 7 IHF World Championships.

Center
Ron Mexico
John Falkirk
Brodie Witzel
Tyler Seguin

Left Winger
Jeff Dar
Michael Abdalla
Kain Webb
Joshua Bothelo

Right Winger
Jay MacDonald
Danielle Hogan
Nick Fisher
Raymond Lindsey

Defence
Scott Stevens
Jack Crasher
Damian Littleton
Aidan Richan
Kyle Derringer
JJ Krever

Goalie
Marshall MacPherson
John McBride

Also, I would like to announce the Captain and the Assistant Captains for Team Canada this season.

For the captain, it will be Scott Stevens. Arguably the best defenseman to ever lace them up in the SHL.

The two alternate captains for Team Canada will be Jeff Dar and Michael Abdalla. Dar is a great player as well as a great leader and Abdalla has shown much appreciated dedication to the team in his help with many of the tighter picks.

A lot of hard decision. Im sorry to the people who didn't make it this season. I suspect with many of these players hitting regression soon, it will open the way for the younger stars to make a name on Team Canada.
