I think both are shady as shit. One might have a rule written up at the moment. Doesn't mean both shouldn't be in the constitution though.
The difference is one keeps getting suspended and his players deleted, while the others are playing in Detroit.
That's irrelevant, Idc what your thoughts are on it. But when someone spends 2 full days bitching and complaining that nothing was done and nobody was punished, for NOT Breaking the rules. Yet comes in here and is basically campaigning for someone who did shady shit, that IS BREAKING A RULE to not be punished, that's hypocritical as fuck and makes that person look stupid.
But it is funny that Kelowna has signed like 5 people since that happened all basically recruited by the same person and nobody bats an eye.
Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

And so did Van,
and MTL signed a few
and PGF as well...
Justice posted on another forum board (2bcsports) and got a lot of responses.
We even ended up trading one of the guys to MTL because he wanted to play on the same team his friend was on.

I'm definitely not defending what he has done. I think there just needs to be some consistency. There needs to be a roundtable. There needs to be work done to fix rules.
I think everyone on this site right now should still be here. I think Gorlab should be unbanned. I think there just needs to be some tigthening up of rules. I want the integrity of the SHL (SMJHL included) to be part of this community. I want people to not circumvent rules, break rules, use loopholes or do things morally questionable.
I also don't think anyone should be disciplined. I think Dankoa shouldn't have been suspended, I don't think anyone in Detroit should be punished and I think Quinn should be given another chance. Talking to the kid, he loves this place. He wants to be part of it again and never break those rules that he has again. He made Lake after he was banned because he wanted to be part of this league.
So personally, I think the shit with Detroit, Lake or any other recent drama just needs to be laid to rest. And eventually we come back to the situation with cooler heads and figure out ways to fix the problems that have happened, legal or not.
From my point of view. I think both situations screw teams. Lake being a multi (or a creation of a suspended member) screws Colorado. But all the people waiting until the draft and knowingly congregating hurts all the other teams. Either way, I don't think either requires any disciplinary actions at this time. I just think at some point we need to come back to these issues and tighten up the "SHL Rulebook".

Vancouver has signed 6 free agents. But the difference is that all the recruited members of the "Justice League" dispersed. Every team has gotten some of them. Many of them thought about multiple offers beforehand and didn't knowingly decide to all go to one team. We in Vancouver have been extremely active with our recruitment. We've been proactive with these new members and have reached out multiple times about the benefits of joining our club. The possibility of being a big part of the future and a Locker Room full of Vets and Sophomores more willing to help them than they could imagine. I'm sure the other teams that landed Free Agents did the same thing. Which is why we are happy to have our recruits. The difference is that our new Free Agents aren't established members all hording on a team and sure to be top picks in the next SHL draft.
We put a lot of work into getting these signings done.
If the guy wants to be here and promises not to break any rules, then i would allow him to come back. It is correct to suspend this player and account as it did break rules, but at the same time give him the free pass to join, lets say after the trade deadline or something like that.

There is no hypocrisy in the other signings.
I still see no justification on what the deplorable did was wrong. As long as there was no communication prior to creation about signing with Detroit
It would have happened with any of the 8 teams Vancouver could have done it. The main goal as a GM is to make a team win
On another note, 28 days into pre season and the deplorable A haven't done shit

If it makes you feel better we didn't all just decide on Detroit, we talked to other teams. They just couldn't offer what we wanted so we ended up on Detroit. It wasn't a big scheme to end up on Detroit and honestly Detroit wasn't even my first choice. We all had a different destination in mind, they couldn't offer what we wanted though so Detroit was the next best thing.
Thank you to My boys @Merica and @Ragnar for the lovely sigs!

This is where things become a little muddy. While all evidence is circumstantial, there is still evidence. Namely the post by Maxy that they did talk about this prior to creating.
With that said. I don't think the players, team or GMs should be punished. I just would like to see some consistency, transparency and ethics in the league.
I'm not 100% abstained of guilt as well. For I played a part in "evidence" through a shady means. And anything I have to say is definitely something one should take with a grain of salt. I just think ethically we must uphold the integrity of the system if we want it to continue to grow. Finger pointing doesn't get us very far.
That's the problem with a lot of the world. They get embroiled in pointing fingers at one another and arguing to the point where the real issues never get addressed. I would like to see the real issues be addressed and let the names be forgotten.
As for being on topic. I think Quinn should be given another chance. But if he is caught multi'ing again. He should be banned, permanently.

Which is why I don't think anyone should be punished. I'm not so salty now either, because there is such a big influx of Free Agents and the rest of the league was able to match Detroit in their signings.
At the time it felt very purposeful. But thank you for admitting this and thank you for letting me know a bit better.
